The advertising companies look into the TV audience in a completely different manner than what they see in the Internet broadcasts viewer count. The way viewers got engaged is vastly different. TV is mainstream. Twitch/afreeca are underground. The big companies are tempted to invest in TV ads hundreds of times more than in internet broadcasts. Not comparable at all. On the internet, you have control of what you see - if you don't like something you just close the tab and move to the next thing. On the TV you don't have control. Sure you can switch the channel, but the number of channels is finite - the chance of getting back to the show and continue watching it after the ads (for example) is incomparable. im not trying to be rude here but i dont care how they compare to one another, I just want to know what the TV ratings were. TV ratings averaged about 1.2~1.5%. The figure, however, was the ratings of cable broadcasts, not terrestrial ones. Do you mean terrestrial vs. satellite or vs. internet broadcast or? Sorry, I know that English is a difficult language, but some clarification would be nice
yes satellite

I once joked that he was chained to a TV playing oov vs. Reach on Mercury until he could max at record time but I want to know the real story.
Second question: What is the best way to get in touch with a progamer for a foreign fan?
If you want to talk to them, you can watch their personal broadcasts and talk to them in real time.
However, it seems that a long and serious conversation is not possible only for simple communication.
The reason seems to be the biggest difference in language.

Is that true?
I knew only the facts about Kali, not Byul.

When is the next ASL expected to start?

Hi Cruiser0929! Thanks a lot for doing this.
You mentioned that many pros don't like the websites sharing replays. Reps indeed reveal a lot. But I don't understand why the pros are okay with FPVs such as online streaming? Aren't they revealing as much as replays, if not more?

I understand why pros don’t want their replays circulating, but it would be nice just to have a bunch of replays for the most standard builds for each matchup. Like 3 hatch vs 5rax +1, or 2 hatch vs goliath, etc. nothing tricky or valuable, just the most standard.

I was about to ask the same thing.
Here on TL it circulated the version that he left BW because he was goin to dedicate himself to his family business.
But the other day I was playing with a korean friend and he told me another version. That after coming back from military he lied to his fans about the reason why he was not going to compete in some tournament and then the fans got really mad at him and started kind of bullying him and then he kind of went away. I also wanted to know how much of all that is accurate.

Were Koreans annoyed by the boring post game interviews during the KESPA days? It was always the standard «I just want to show good games for my fans» answers every time. It seemed a bit wierd to us.

Roughly 2 years ago if memory serves correctly ogn outlined a broadcast schedule which explicitly stated theyd run a brood war tour. All ive heard since is that koreans are 'patiently waiting' for ogn to fulfill said promise. Can u shed some light on this?

Hello there!
I'm not sure if this has already been asked but could you please tell us if if you know which of the pros still need to head into the army? Much love!
