Never got released in the US, so you'd have to emulate it, but personally, I thought it was one of the best Action RPG's Enix ever made.

Not really underrated at all, but still somewhat unknown among my friends. I played this through with a friend of mine. So. Much. Fun!

Agreed on this one and many others in the thread. Seriously one of the funnest games I've ever played. Nice post! Totally agree with this one! :D

It was pretty underrated when released first. Wikipedia states it was successful when released on CD, but I dont really know about that. A great game, with a great story (based upon a great book series). The sequel (Return to Krondor) isn't that great though :/ All three parts of Realms of Arcania. They were really successful in Germany (they're based upon a German P&P RPG) but I never really heard about their success in the international market. Dont really know any other underrated games. Maybe played a shitton in my youth (Utopia, King's Bounty (the original)) but since we didnt have internet back then no idea if they were popular (I assume stuff like Might & Magic 3-5 were popular)

Its called Ice and Fire. Basically you run around on this space station looks for stuff inside blocks of ice. You thaw the blocks of ice with a fire gun and can refreeze stuff with your ice gun. It is either a freaky monster, which you have to keep frozen, or a frozen human who once unfrozen will reactivate some part of the space station allowing you access to other floors. There was also this weird spaceship flying section where you could get from space station to space station but was kind of difficult since you had no idea where you were going. I miss this game...

Most of the games I was going to mention have already been mentioned (most important one being Transport Tycoon. That game was leagues of awesome.) but there is one that has failed to have been mentioned! I don't think many people have played it, but Trade Empires. I LOVE YOU!

Star_Fox_64. Maybe not underrated, but just very old. If you have never done a barrel roll get an emulator and this game asap. Armies of Exigo. Gameplay of SC with WC3-like story, fun to play nevertheless.

Ive played it maybe 10+ times, and ive never had to "grind" (just killing mobs/not questing) on any character... Ontopic: Fury 3! fist game i played with joystick i think, really fun as i remember it. Was way over 10 years ago tho.

That's right, Secret of Mana 2, never to be released in the US it is maybe the most unheralded SNES game. This is one sequel that did not disappoint those who played improving upon everything that made secret of mana great while being innovative in the action-RPG genre. At the beginning of the game you can choose three of the six playable characters. What is really innovative is that your story CHANGES depending on who your lead character is, and even more story is open depending on who your second character is, giving you tons of replayability just for the story. Gameplay also has seen massive improvements over SoM. New to SD3 is the class system. This diagram illustrates nicely: Overall anyone who loves older action-RPGs should give this game a try. It was never released in the US (I'm not sure about EU ...) so you will have to find a rom of it. There is however an English translation.
