Theres a remake that runs on the VegaStrike engine (opengl.) Theres a few versions, one thats basically the same, one that is somewhat different, and one that adds so much stuff that its basically a different game.

1) Magic Knight Rayearth - Sega Saturn (last official game ever made for the Saturn) 2) Shenmue - Dreamcast (not really underrated but a really amazing game) I actually just dusted off my old systems to play those two games and I still find them really fun.

One of the last playstation games to be released. It pushed the hardware to its limits. This game has a great subtle story. I also agree with This is another of my favorite games that I will go back and play every couple years or so. I'm not sure if Demon's Souls should be underrated. It was pretty much game of the year. Sure, I'll hear flak about the game here and there, but I really don't know anyone in real life that doesn't love Demon's Souls.

Underrated as in: - Isn't talked about much - Not many people played it - People say it sucks - Low advertising / no advertising (you can post Indie games as well) For me, it would be - Original War - I don't see, why people don't play this more. It has an awesome story, awesome gameplay, it's just totally awesome, get it! + Show Spoiler + - Men of War - It's Company of Heroes, just 1000x times better. You don't build your base, but you have to use tactics more, and the environment is 99% destructable (Unlike CoH) + Show Spoiler + - The Moon Project - How could I forget this one I bet none of you ever played it. It's a space RTS, where you can (iirc) combine some parts into units, build awesome bases, research stuff etc. + Show Spoiler + Gogo! And post pics, if possible I got the Men of War demo from Steam because I saw so many people on Youtube having fun; but the demo made it seem pretty bad. I found that any unit I didn't explicitly watch stood around and got shot at, without fighting back or even seeking cover. I checked the Rules of Engagement, and they were all on Fire at Will. Is the demo just a poor representation of the game (which it might be, there's a disclaimer at the end to that effect), or is it actually that broken? edit to stay on topic: One game I really loved was Hardwar. All I remember about it, was that for some reason, humanity was on Titan, and it was lawless, and basically you flew around in your own custom spaceship, trying to make a living by either lawful (bounty-hunting) or criminal (killing people and taking their shit) means. You could even have your own hangar, and use it as a store to sell your stolen stuff. I think there was a plot, but I know I didn't get very far. I remember killing someone who was supposed to give me one of my first missions, and being around 7-8 years old, I didn't want to give up my cool ship with the awesome lasers to go make a new save file.

I actually went back and played Soulblighter not that long ago and was pleasantly surprised at how well it stood up. The textures are atrocious, but other than that it really is still a great game. That was the first game i played online and i was unhealthily addicted. If only Bnet 2.0 was that good...

play it on ggpo every once in awhile. as far as console games that i've loved but noticed it was extremely popular for ps2 probably sunk 140+ hrs in it but its so so so worth it. for ps3 probably 200+ hours distributed amongst all my characters. and honestly i truly believe if they tweaked teh game out/released an expansion pack that expanded multi-player settings/interactions/partying this game would be absolutely fuqqin awesome (already awesome for me to begin with)

2. Ogre Battle 64: Person of Lordly Calibur 3. Quest 64 (also already mentioned, very simple RPG but loads of fun) 4. Turok 2: Seeds of Evil (omfg the guns were so ridiculous, and the dismemberment) 5. Blast Corps 6. Hydro Thunder (I need to get the remake, but playing this in arcades was a blast) 7. Star Wars Rogue Squadron series (I miss Factor 5)
