(As well as the expansion) Best game in the civilization genre imo (that i know of), to the point where if i even try to play something like the civ series itself, i just ask myself why i'm not playing alpha centauri

The game has very very distinct races and in general is an awesome game, but no one plays it. Part of it is the steep requirements when it was initially released and you had to play for ranked ladder, but now they fixed that it should be awesome to play! I'd like to play online sometime if anyone's interested.

It's really high rated in the circles where it's known. I replay the game every year or so, just because of the infinite possibilites. Such a shame games take forever and I really suck, so I think I've never finished an actual map

Very enjoyable game, and I have to say the voice acting was remarkably good for a game as old as that. I tried out the Soul Reaver series but couldn't really get into it, mainly because of the awful camera.

Especially loved when their story sucks giant cliche balls lol! Question: this is a bit off-topic, but is Red Faction any good? The most recent one, I got it, but never sat down to play it

Sure, the game has some faults - some occasional bugs, but the gameplay is really original and fun. Screenshots: + Show Spoiler +
