Another game that actually got good reviews but I don't think a whole lot of people played it was Jet Set Radio Future for the original xbox. You basically move around on roller skates and fight enemies using spray cans but it was extremely fun. I like the story to the game and it was pretty good for free roaming to go along with a pretty unique art style for the game.

Baldurs gate/Dragon age meats fallout. Though no ability to pause so it takes a lot of APM. Though Inventory management can be a pain.

Definitely not an underrated game... OT: I found Oblivion to be very very addicting... older folks are saying Morrowind was much better, but I've never played so I can't say much A lot of hate on DA:O as well, I liked it.

IL2 sturmovik: i guess it was not underappreciated in the flight sim community but this had sick potential to have a very competitive scene. nothing is funner then flying with a group of potent tacticains and a good sense of teamwork. toejam and earl series for the sega genisis such a sick platformer with silly humor sprikled throughout

Some of the best graphics for it's time, and one of the best atmospheres in gaming history I'd say. Thanks for this reminder. I grabbed it off GoG for $6 and I remember how cool it was. The fully orchestral music is awesome. I've always had a thing for voxel graphics, too. In games like Delta Force, Hexplore and Outcast. Dunno why. They're just visually appealing. Just like Planescape: Torment though, I can't forget 'the big twist' at the end and re-experience it all over again. About 5 minutes in I already remembered the full story, and I haven't played the thing for 10 years!

Felt similarly. It has some great graphics, voice acting and story, no doubt, but the gameplay was sorely, sorely lacking. I played 60-something hours in my first playthrough, waiting the whole time for it to feel like Baldur's Gate again, but it never did. Here's hoping they devoted more time to fleshing out the gameplay in the 2nd one. A demo should be out in a couple of weeks, so I'll find out if I should cancel the preorder or not.

HOLY FUCK that game was so good, and literally noone else played it. That fps had everything, vampire mode, disease mode, assualt, deathmatch, teamdeathmatch, free for all, hillarious characters, interesting / fun guns and a kickass challenging campaign.

Hmm, i thought DA:O had some of the worst graphics I've seen in a game in years, at least for a high budget game. I agree with the voice overs though. SOOO much talking even though the story was unbelievably bad and uninteresting. Although oddly enough even with all that voice acting my OWN character was a deaf mute apparently... Such a bad game.

Very sad that they had shut down all the multiplayer systems and not allow to run a community based mp.
