The last time they were in Europe was 2000, pretty cool for them. Also their captain is a Scot which can't have happened too many times in Serie A

Time-wasting from the start and kicked City off the pitch. The game needed the ref to stop Arsenal's antics but he was so reluctant to book anyone that Arsenal could do it all match.

Its insane that they actually managed to stop City from scoring. Name another team that even could shut down a game at the Etihad.

I hated Greece playing anti-football, I hated Chelsea playing anti-football and I sure as hell aren't going to praise anybody playing anti-football, even if it's impressive anti-football. That said, I don't think Arsenal set out to play anti-football. Rather they set out to be more careful than their usual game plan and City set out to have their usual game plan of 6 burly defenders crushing midfield play and then pressing high into (a) de Bruyne do magic or (b) give the ball to Haaland in the box. Arsenal did do a good job of utterly shutting out Haaland (or maybe Haaland just had a really bad day), but was completely incapable of their own magic midfield getting much of anything done to City. I don't think it was a game plan on either side, just nerves and the lack of a spark of genius that turned the game to shit.

Don't think he played THAT bad, just couldn't finish some chances you'd expect him to. Macca was incredible though, what service he provided to that front line. This was a park the bus Arsenal team and a City side that didn't really look to push too hard. 4 CBs and 2 DMs on each side basically made this game a wash.

I’d largely agree with all of that, except I think the real reason the game sucked is I popped down to the pub to watch the big game. Seemingly any time I get pumped for the big game and do this, the game is invariably absolutely awful Apologies all I’ll warn in advance for the next one!

I mean it's unfortunate that a game with all the promise in the world ends up sucking, but keeping City from scoring is pretty impressive no matter how you slice it. It's actually the fourth time ever a Pep team is goal-less against the same team both home and away.

Good on the coach, to be 3-0 down after 30 minutes to Forest is not a good look. Triple subs happened before the 3rd goal though, so only 2-0. I guess you can argue that the subs worked when you tied the game 1-1 afterwards.

Fulham such a weird side, can give a great game to top teams but then also get spanked by Forest.

They lost game but you can't say coach didn't try and change something. Fulham such a weird side, can give a great game to top teams but then also get spanked by Forest. Fulham are an awful team away from home. They've got 2 wins away this entire season, Everton and United. At home, they're actually quite good, they 3-0 Spurs recently and everyone remembers their 2-1 win over Arsenal. One of the reasons why I hate that Liverpool have to go there away soon, definitely a trap game where we could drop points.
