Did I mention that they were REALLY BAD? I had a 8800GTS 512mb awhile back and it kept defecting so badly XFX ended up just shipping me a 9800GTX+ I haven't had any problems with the 9800GTX+ even though it uses the same core chip which is odd. But something about the 8800 series is just broken.

And I'm sure you think a good personal experience = good product. Which is also wrong. As I remember this problem wasn't occurring in _every_ 8800 card but there were definitely a lot. I remember nvidia forums absolutely blew up out of control over it. Nvidia kept blaming vista but the people whos' cards actually worked, worked fine on vista.

Cause 8800 has been around a long time and is definitely a "solid" product... Though I don't think your lying or anything of course :D edit: ah, didn't see your edit... Of course direct experience != product quality, but furthermore a few batches of defective products, aren't the intended product, so furthmore how do we really determine quality seperate from personal experience? either way, 8800 is near dinosaur and no need to dig up bones... lol
