Becoming a coke addict happens naturally for some people with access to coke. I don't know what your definition of natural is but if it happens without direct interference of nature I guess its natural right? "what can you do we're all humans" that's just an excuse. You have power over your emotions and especially the mindset that produces those emotions.

I don't see how the analogy works getting angry is natural -> becoming a coke addict is natural ??? I agree getting frustrated at other people you can't control isn't optimal but what can you do, we're all humans. It's okay to get frustrated, just don't let it cloud your judgment and tilt you. Focus on what you can control and let off the steam after the game since it won't matter anyways. Whenever people on my team start blaming others I tell them to save it for post-game lobby if they're going to blame because blaming right now does nothing. Just give up dude. He doesn't think anybody should get angry ever.

You have the power to overcome that frustration and deal with the matter at hand with a sound mind, but you do not have the power to completely squelch your emotions. Thing is this project is a work thing. League is a game you play for enjoyment. Access to League of legends is not natural. You don't just walk around and have a laptop with league installed and the account to actually use it. Not to mention the constant internet access to be a rager. On the other hand you'd be hard pressed to find a single person who hasn't been handed some kind of substance food or otherwise by someone else at some point in their life. That is natural and inescapable. I never said anything about squelching emotions. You simply remove the reason for the negative ones to exist. I'm playin league for fun so why should I let myself get into a mindset that reduces the amount of fun I have? On May 16 2014 10:54 Gahlo wrote: Just give up dude. The point of gaming in your free time is partly competitive spirit and relieving stress and being social etc, and none of them are dependent on raging on your teammates.

- If the troll is in my team, I lose one game more than I should have - If the troll is in the other team, I win one game more than I should have. - etc They add noise to your winning/losing/learning process, and make it harder to measure whatever you want to measure. People are angry at the troll/flamers because they're wasting people's time and process. If there were no troll, people save time and get more productive out of learning/winning/whatever they do. But of course if you have free time and don't care about being productive, then you shouldn't be bothered by trolls.

also the key question WHAT IS A TROLL it ranges from 1 to does slightly stupid things to 100 of afk? At what point does he become a troll? I don't know what your obsession with measuring is about anyway. Do you need to measure yourself every game? Maybe you can't give the trolls the skill they need to satisfy them because you are too busy trying to measure it first?

league is not natural, but getting frustrated is natural, so coke is not natural but getting addicted to something is natural?

Tthe first case assumes that the game is a task and the objective is purely to win, and its work. The second case makes it seem more like a passion project. In the second case youd have no reason to think that the other guy is an asshole for getting tired and leaving. Becoming a coke addict happens naturally for some people with access to coke. I can be happy about the way I played without being happy about how the game went if I lose. I've even had wins where my team throws a huge lead but we win anyway and I'm not happy about those games. Though being unsatisfied with the game doesn't make me think I wasted my time, I do play ultimately cause its fun. Edit: Both extremes seem pretty silly. It's pretty crazy to me that someone could be completely indifferent to losing while I also think it's dumb if you can't have fun without winning.

I'm only talking about ranked though. I am completely desensitized to normal games, mostly because I play to have fun with retarded stuff like trinity-force bruiser diana, AD kat, and manamune+frozen fist kassadin.
