I need them to hurry and put LoU behind and get on with that new IP.

Nintendo has a handful of games/titles they rinse and repeat. PS5 crushes all consoles in titles and diversity of said titles. From 1st to 3rd party. Xbox has Gamepass but you're probably playing those games on PC anyway if they're any good. I'm trying not to fanboy but holy shit it's too easy. There hasn't been a game since the GameCube that's made me go "Ya know what? The Nintendo ____ might be a pretty good console." from Nintendo. Xbox had Mass Effect. The handheld thing...I don't know. I don't see if succeeding without them getting the telecoms onboard to massively improve wifi access and speeds. Best they can do is allow install of owned games because playing over wifi is a terrible idea.

Just because Nintendo has very popular and famous franchises doesn't mean the Switch lacks depth or diversity.* According to Wikipedia, the Switch has 4,492 games, while the PS5 only has 555 new games. Of course, you can include backwards compatible games and account for the fact that the Switch is several years older, but let's not pretend that Nintendo *only* has Mario and Zelda. Sony and Nintendo both have a ton of success when it comes to the video game industry, and they're both performing incredibly well right now. *I would never mock Sony for continuing the Final Fantasy franchise, or any games with sequels. They absolutely should keep those titles going. Edit: Even combining the PS4 library (3,443 games), which predates the Switch, with the PS5 library, there are still fewer games between PS4 and PS5 than the Switch. Both Sony and Nintendo clearly have impressive and diverse libraries.

I was merely stating that Sony has more diversity in studios making some of the most unique games for PS5. Nintendo is no slouch but we can agree they are niche for the most part. If Nintendo came out with a game that made me buy it, I'd buy it. I'm down to play on any console if it has something I want. I never got into Zelda or Pokemon, so that doesn't do it for me.

It's a little weird to suggest that the most popular gaming consoles or games are "niche". But anyway, I think it's awesome that PS5 has a lot of great games that appeal to you and so many other people Certainly between PS5 and Switch, there are tons of interesting choices for everyone!

If a game launches on both the PS5 and the Switch I’m always gonna buy it on PS5, the controller is just so amazing. Switch still has plenty of exclusives which I love though.

If I can find someone willing to let me borrow a switch and Xenoblade, I'll give it a shot. Again, I'm just saying that in the realm of console games and exclusives, Sony is above everyone else. I never said Switch was terrible. Just that it (and Xbox) really can't compete with Sony. Just a personal opinion.

Just a personal opinion. Saying that you prefer PS5 over Switch is a totally legitimate opinion, but saying that PS5 has more "diversity" or better "exclusives" is literally, factually wrong. Nintendo will always be the king of exclusives, from Mario to Zelda to Pokemon to many, many other franchises that out-sell nearly everything on PS4 and PS5, and you've already seen how Switch has significantly more titles than PS4 and PS5 combined, not to mention more sales and success in this current console generation. Despite all that, you can of course still love PS5 and still think it's a better console than Switch, but there's no reason to say false things like Nintendo is just for a niche audience. The data proves otherwise. Legitimate opinion: Switch can't compete with PS5 for your heart and time and money, based on your preferences. False claims: Switch can't compete with PS5 in terms of sales or diversity or success.

But yeah It's ok that for you personally the ps exclusives aling more with your tastes. ______________ I have a ps4, haven't upgraded to a ps5. The only games that interest me are the Final Fantasy, FF7 remake and Spiderman. My guess is I'll end up buying 1 a couple of years from now. Sony says they are expecting to sell 25m PS5 this year...we'll see. That's a lot of units, for such an expensive console, and they haven't managed to do that ammount of sales in 1 year since the Ps1, but maybe they can pull it off. So, apparently ps5 will release the WiiU gamepad? Really? I mean, the WiiU gamepad was actually great. It's so confortable to play handheld, or when I was younger, to continue playing when someone wanted to use the TV. Or not have to be in the TV room and play in my bedroom. However, the Wii U failed... And the gamepad was included. This is something extra, that will cost a couple hundred of dollars...I don't see that being succesful at all.

I also think it has zero chance of beating Tears of the Kingdom for GotY.

I haven't played Zelda so I can't compare, but from the games I've seen or played this year, this has a good chance to be goty.

+ Show Spoiler + Holy shit, this might actually take the mantle from Zelda for game of the year.... the music alone is amazing, as well as the voice acting. Benn Starr(?) who portrays Clive will easily win at the Gamer Awards this year; dead certain. Also the amount of F bombs, and other swear words in the demo there is no valid reason why Cid should be censored in FF7 Rebirth.... none.
