I voted against Flash when he played GGPlay, Stork, and Rock.
Not because I'm some sort of genius at predictive analysis, but rather for one simple word:
KARMA.
You don't anger the universe. You don't smite the BW gods and get away with it.
Things that make the universe hate you include eliminating old favorites, disrespecting dominant players, and doing ridiculously stupid things to rob fans of fun matches.
When you do such things all that will happen is pain and loss. You will lose. If your offense was bad enough it might even carry over to your Proleague team.
This is 100% accurate and way more imba than maps or matchups can be.
Here are a few events I believe are the bad karma-inducing:
- Midas picking Savior in the Ro16 in Shinhan3 - FBH doing that homosexual dance around Savior - Flash cheesing Bisu twice with bio rushes in the Daum Ro8
What has happened to them since their bad-karma offenses?
- Midas is out of the MSL/OSL; he didn't even make OSC - FBH lost to Stork in the MSL Semis and Rock in the OSC - Flash lost to GGPlay, then Stork in the 3/4 match, then Rock in the OSC
Now obviously, the biggest beneficiary here is Rock. The lucky bastard is just along for the ride. He basically got two free bye's into the OSC Finals because his opponents were clearly hated by the BW gods for the sins they committed.
This is why I believe Samsung will not win in Proleague, simply because their roster contains a Karma-violator. SKT1 and KTF didn't make the playoffs but I'm sure if they did they'd lose. You can't fight karma.
That said, the current OSL Finals has two guys who both have great karma. Yes Iris beat Savior but it was respectful between them and he's in the final. Can't blame him for that. GGPlay is always manner and was the first to take advantage of bad-karma Flash (who is now like 1-6 or something since his Bisu series).
So if you're voting in LiquiBet this is probably the easiest rule to follow ever.
This is also why FBH is going to have the slump of his career coming up.
agreed, karma bites you in the ass Pusan's famous i win 90% of my games with zerg- big mistake buddy JJu's ZvP is easy- wait a second, no its not >.< cmon, its staring us right in the face all the time
back in mycube 2003 OSL group stages, nada threw his game to yellow in order to keep him alive in the group stages and also to force a tiebreaker which might allow both of them to advance. the tie was between ra, nada and yellow.
The BW gods were not happy with this. nada went 0-2 and out at the group stage tiebreakers, and yellow's final and must win game in the ro8 was a zvp against reach on paradoxxx.

The bw gods were angry with Shinhwa after he defeated the mighty emperor of starcraft in his last ever OSL preventing the fabled 'lim-jin lock' producers crave.
For his sins, he has been sentenced to a life time slump
