Even though he's getting on a bit Fergason has to be one of the most successful managers ever. and as a Leicester boy i've got a lot of time for martin o'neill but he's not really had a good chance with a big club yet

don't really rate either Lippi or Capello, generally speaking I don't rate Italian coaches unless they can go to other countries and actually archieve something. Capello was and now is the manager of real madrid, but I don't see it improving since he come in, maybe it did when he last went there but I am too young to tell, never watched anything outside england at that age. Lippi is more respectable, at least he won the world cup but then Guss Hiddink will be much greater than he is considering the performaces in world cup. I don't think many people can name the starting 11 of south korea and australia, at least I don't know more than 5-6 names.
Benitez, Mourinho, Wenger, Hiddink(just about, didn't really do it at club level apart from PSV)
Van Gaal, maybe, but they lost the title this year. And he was shit with the national team if I remember correctly. Ferguson, I thought he did pretty well as well, until a couple of months ago I watch a tv program going through his 20 years and found out he did nothing for the first 5-6 years and made record signing year after year! Also one hell of a talent killer, forlan/veron/barthez/saha/smith(in a certain degree) in my opinion.

well are we talking about managers? like in england where they control alot of things like transfers, pr, etc or coaches, like in the continent, where they have less control.

He used to be from Everton. They were booing him all game.

Sir Alex Ferguson, the special one even admitted he could never win as much silverware as sir alex
|
I'm gonna list the ones I would click with the most as a footballer, not necessarily the ones who have had greatest success. And in no particular order
Alex Ferguson Sven-Göran Eriksson Guus Hiddink
Coaches I wouldn't want include Frank Rijkaard Jose Mourinho Fabio Capello
This is all based on how I think I personally would get along with them

To White_box, talent killer? Forlan was terrible when given a chance in England, Saha is injured all the time but when he does play he plays well, Barthez was good but eccentric and Veron? He was rubbish at Chelsea as well.
|
bah, and then forlan went to be pichichi in spain =P

Yeah, SAF is definitely one of, if not the top, managers ever.
And... I love Hiddink too.
