EDIT: I'll just take the chance to say two things: first:americans referees are horrible and don't belong in a league with that quality second: I don't know what is the techincal term for it in english (we call it "zone" defense) but americans don't know how to do it, I don't think I ever saw an nba team doing it properly, obvious consequence: nba teams don't know how to attack against it

I just found a torrent site specializing in NBA games a few hours ago. I haven't tried any yet, and probably won't have time for next few days, so maybe someone here can report their experience. http://michalch89.webpark.pl/# As to the beginning season predictions: - Pistons to repeat - I'd like to pick Shaq, but I don't like his durability, free throw shooting so... I'll pick Nowitzki for the hell of it. KG looks great too, again. - Most improved: Wade looks like a monster, and pair him up with the monster Shaq-Fu - Rookie of the Year: No idea. I'll pick Azaria.. the Knicks seem to love him. I'd like to pick Nocioni because he looked great and his team beat Team USA, but the Bulls are such a sh*t team and organization right now. - Coach of the Year: That Italian guy, the Sun's coach. Or JerrySloan. Sixth Man of the Year: I have no idea. Who are the top 6th men? Bobby Jaclkson, I guess. Biggest Disappointment of the Year: Artest (who's having a meltdown right now). And it's easy for him to disappoint after winning DOY. I've never seen him play worthy of a DOY, in my opinion.

That's why they're so popular across the world, and I believe the NBA even banned their use for a few seasons because it was restricting scoring.

As for picks - it's ridiculously early in the season to do them. Sacramento doesn't look properly, though. They probably will pick it up though, if they don't get injured again.

They lost at home to Toronto today =( toronto seems to be playing really well in right now, I saw them vs Denver and a few days later they beat Detroit so...

They do know how to do it, it's not very efficient in the NBA though. 3-point line is farther, most NBA teams have good perimeter shooters and good penetrators, which kills zone defense. As for capability to beat zone defense, any team that can move the ball well and have shooters will crush it. Would be madness to play zone against, say, Sacramento or Dallas couple of years ago. However, most NBA teams use lements of zone defense quite efficiently . It's called double-team. Don't tell me you never heard of it.
