Merry Christmas Teamliquid.net users. I hope you were able to spend Christmas with family and friends .
This thread will be my gift, and our gift to Teamliquid. I have uploaded all the random clips and highlights I have collected throughout this year from Teamliquid and other assorted sites (but mostly TL ) for your viewing and downloading pleasure. It is amazing just how much material converges to this website through super-productive users like My_Digital_Toss, Honesttea, rinizim, Cadical, Live2win, Hasuprotoss, and the many others I have left out here. I discovered TL.net right around this time last year during my spree of vod downloading (thnx google~~), having played bw almost every day against my korean friend at college several weeks prior. Being exposed to and becoming a part of this website allowed me to defeat my friend convincingly by february (in december I was 1-20 or so aginst him), and left Warcraft 3 for good after 18 months of playing the game semi-seriously. I will give credit to Locked, lil.sis, intrigue, and Neo for playing the majority of games with me while we all wasted our time playing Travian --;;. I've gone from super-clueless at the game, to an okay-n00b protoss in 12 months thanks to you guys. But alas, I digress.
Even though TL has an unusually high amount of quality content, the source of this material is usually limited to perhaps 20~30 users. The rest of us are on the receiving end, rarely having the opportunity to give something of our own. Teamliquid is truely a gift that keeps on giving to the western starcraft world, and the lack of korean sources for us lay-men shouldn't prevent us from helping out in our own way.
These videos have been uploaded to pheer's webserver at this time. -he's definitely one of the most underappreciated users around here- However each kb we download costs this gracious man $$ from his own pocket. Now I personally do not want this guy to broke just so that we can have some petty videos . Thus, these videos will be removed at midnight Christmas day. I leave it up to you, the users, to proactively reupload these videos and allow the guys who wont see this thread in time to enjoy the fruits of Teamliquid.net 2006. I truely hope that you will have the heart, the 5 minutes, and last but not least, the gosu internet connection, to rehost these videos for your fellow Teamliquid.net posters.
I'm leaving for Japan tomorrow morning so this will be my last upload for the year 2006. Thank you TL, for giving me so much during this short year. I hope I have been able to give back even a small fraction of what you have endowed me with. Enjoy the break guys, and here's to an even better year for Broodwar in 2007!
---------------------------------------- Bittorrent link (thanks pr0n-) clicky
I will be removing the files now - pheer, thank you for always letting me use your server. A big thanks to everyone's reuploading efforts ----------------------------------------
Of course, thank you for the massive content-gathering! Merry Christmas, good luck, have fun in Japan!
Completely unrelated: I pulled an all-nighter waiting for Santa to visit. I'm so tired that I was watching a replay for about 30seconds before I realized those weren' t my SCVs. I was just clicking ont he rep...
fuckfuckfuckfuck i'm not on my regular computer and i can't tell which ones i already have, nor can i download them to my regular hard drive T_T
i will love to death anyone who can re-upload these (and i don't mean torrenting, since i'm physically unable to torrent while in uni) for a lil bit in about a month or so when i can download just the ones i need =(
Hey, since these will be taken away by midnight, I've decided to explore the limits of my allotted university account website/hosting...by reuploading a few of these. Unfortunately, the limits appear to be quite limiting. I get ~50MB or so afaik right now for everything including my university account profile/settings/etc. So this is both a test for me to make sure it works and hopefully a little help for you guys once midnight rolls around and the files from pheer's server are taken down.
Reupload of Boxer, Nal_Ra, Savior Highlights:
Here --> I'm uploading atm, and may find there's more space than I thought, or less.
edit: added Yellow and Xellos, and now I've capped out my measly space allotment :d
Just want you all to know that I'll be downloading -every- single one of these, so if you need any of them, PM me and I'll be more than happy to give them to you.
I wanted to upload all of them to youtube for convenient and quicker watching, but at one point I was getting 1 kb/s dl from the op links and my upload is already pretty slow as is. Regardless, here are the first several videos posted. If it says it's not available, it means it hasn't processed yet since I uploaded them all just now (give it a few hours or so).
anyways, i downloaded all the vids, and uploaded some of them onto youtube like some of those above. More will be uploaded as time (and maybe bandwidth) permits.

You can also help by seeding the file on the tracker.
!!!!!!
i have been hosting this for 22 hours straight now, despite me having a traffic limit of 5 GB/month and a crappy UL-speed of 14 kB/s. but there are 3 people who Dl'ed it completeley, still i am the only one seeding this. it simply does not work this way, people, i have some other stuff to do online, i can't host this forever. whoever finishes the DL, please host it for at least a couple of hours, it won't hurt you that much, would it???
i wonder why XellOs feels that showing no emotion really moves the crowd, shows that he is a good player. personally, i like it when players show hard-fought emotion. case in point, when Boxer won against Joyo in the mycube osl, i loved the expression on his face, and the way he pumped his fist into the air...same with the b05 against Pusan, at the So1 Starleague. i dunno why i consider him one of my favorite players though...maybe it's his style of play, the "Perfect Terran"
what do you guys think of this matter - emotion, or no emotion? i'm not saying like a player should cry after a match or something...but...still, it's all about following the players and the game right? at least that's what i feel the game is about..
I'm trying to do something as a late Christmas gift for you all, but I'm having trouble doing it lol...
I need to know what the hell is torrent and how do I download the VOD's from the tracker? I go under tracker and then click the link I want to go into, afterwards I press download but what's next after that...? I only download a file named "download" that's about 16.5kb which is not the correct file size I'm looking to download. I download it, but I don't know with what program to open it with. Any help will be much appreciated.
And wtf is a seeder and a leecher lol..
So the main question is how do I get the VOD to download onto my computer!?

sOnagi I always find in your posts a will to debate...which is nice...you always respect opinions as I do...and I think is all about with what you feel more comfortable with...for example in the National Geographic video of XellOs...he said that he loves to relax before a match...and it helps him a lot to take it easy...also he said he admires players who are able to control his emotions...of course SlayerS_`BoxeR` vs Joyo was something really emotinal...and its beacuse its all about enjoying the Korean environment...and to cheer for your favorite player of course respecting other ones...

.::Bumped::.
basically a torrent is a sharing program, afaik and understand it. someone announces a torrent file he has created with a torrent program e.g. BitTorrent or utorrent, then he uploads this file until some leechers(=downloaders/wating for DL to start) have dl'ed it then they upload bits of the file thus making the downstream bigger. uploading after downloading is called seeding as far as i understand the system. you have to download a torrent program first, then select the files you want to share, announcing the file (see Saro's HowTo in the tracker thread/the tracker itself). then you upload it until some others seed. be aware though, if your upstream sucks like mine does, 674 MB take exactly 24 hours to upload, but that was mainly because the first 4 leechers didn't seed afterwards.
see also the link that was posted before my post and the tracker thread in the broodwar section for further information.

Thanks, but I rather wait until New Years Day when he puts it up again. This sounds a little bit too complicated for me to get into.

lol try downloading Azureus. Very easy to follow. Just download torrent, associate .torrent files with Azureus and double click on the torrent. The only downside is that you need some RAM, at least 512mb, preferably 1gig+.

If you read the post, he said they would all be taken down at Christmas. If you want them, use the tracker. I will turn on my client and seed for you right now.
i re-uploaded all the VOD's into the TL.net Tracker and just started seeding it again, maybe that helps. if i get no connection to peers in the next hour, i will cancel the upload again.

Are you using the same torrent or did you create a new one?
