How to advice Use IE (internet explorer, it won't work in firefox) Hold Ctrl key down constantly if you have pop up disablers. Install their active-x when prompted.
Remember There is a ton of StarCraft content, but some stuff will commercials and other non StarCraft, gaming related content.
Remember When using the stream, make sure you are using Internet Explorer, if any pop_up comes up, close it, and it will be ok. If Active-X controls needs to be installed, please do so.
The Stream WILL NOT work in FireFox.

If your browser doesn't open the file with the player you want (edit: or the previous link fails, which seems to happen sometimes for really weird reasons ), you can use: http://rpgamers.free.fr/mbcgamelive/?link
and then copy-paste the link.
(Note: the link changes every time of course, otherwise I wouldn't have had to make a script.)
As for the OSL stream, I don't think it's possible to load it by script, however there's a way to open it on your own player, I'll explain later though (it's a bit of a pain both to explain and to do).

WHHHHHHHHHAAAAAATTTTTT
Help please?
mms should be recognized by WMP by default... Try this:
From MS website:
To configure protocol options On the Tools menu, click Options, and then click the Network tab. In the Streaming protocols area, select all the protocol check boxes.
excellent thread, good job everyone involved in this =) i knew about the ogn one pretty early on but i was an idiot and didn't share gotta be more proactive huh
There are schedules for both MBC and OGN one their sites. Just need someone knowing enough Korean (I know just enough to read players' names, though I don't know them all) to read them.

If you don't know a player's name, just copy+paste the Korean's name into google and add e-sports or something like that and it should come up.
Is it just me or is the quality of the OGN stream much worse than the quality of the MBC stream? I'm not talking about the games now, just streaming quality.
[Edit] Um. Actually it's possible, not easy. ^^; Never mind.
Hey just wanted to say thanks for these links...love em....and yeah, I thought OGN was less quality than the MBC link..but for some reason...the MBC link keeps refreshing and buffering...so I stopped watching that one...might just be my comp though.
I got myself a macbook the other day too. I installed Windows Media Player for Mac and used the PoP link generator, the player starts but I don't seem to get a connection to Korea right now.
This might be because of me being in university. Will try it from home later on. If it works then you just have to get WMP for Mac (google it) plus you will need the program StuffIt (something like winzip for mac, to unzip the files). Then just install it.
Hope it works, post if you need more informations.
edit: ok, acess denied. I think this is because of the university. I think it will work at home.
edit2: ok, still acess denied. even from home... guess it doesnt work for a mac
can someone tell me where i can get an english version/skin of gomTV? I got 6mbit and its buffering like every 10 seconds, maybe with the english version i find some settings to fix this.
The stream only works for me from time to time. I don't know the reason so I post here. The little window is black and IE says Ready but the stream doesn't load.
Sometimes it works so I can watch it but not everyday, that's strange. It also doesn't work with Windows Media Player. Only sometimes.

Or you could use a platform indepedent player that supports these kinds of streams instead of that buggy proprietary shit.
The WMV3 codec doesn't seem to be supported, because it's patented (try getting an "official" solution for these), but you don't need it for the streams.
I can't help you with Gom, though, partly bcuz I'm lazy and partly because it's probably illegal.
if you wish to see live stream, you must check broadcasting schedule(example: msl- thursday 18:30....this time......you can see live stream on gomplayer....except this time...you can see only past game vod) check msl, superfight, (proleague: i dont check it....sorry) broadcasting schedule ...ah... you cant see the ogn starleague on gomplayer ....hek...hek...
Hmmm weird, the English version doesn't work for me, but Korean one does. Where do I change the quality (my computer reads Korean text, but not in the options panel, so, please, tell me which one option exactly it is)?
its a korean site that provides live stream tv from all over the world. look the tab on the left site, it'll have "GameTV". That link always streams video games from starcraft, warcraft, counter-strike and other random games like FIFA or Diablo.
At first I couldn't find it, but then I realized it might've been in Korean. Oh, and why all those stream sites work with IE only? And I though GameTV was dead. ^__________^
lol im hooked!! its well funny how excited they get.. on this one im watching the guys escapes with a shuttle with 2 reavers in with 1hp and they all cheer!! jhahahaha
Neither players have any bases running! One of UpMagic's dropships BARELY escapes death from a psi storm But then it dies. Kingdom has made a Dark Archon! We hear a lot of yaaas from the anouncers.
Kingdom is loading units around the map into his shuttle. Looking to do a last ditch drop on 9 o'clock island. Dark Archon tries to Feedback kill the Vessel but doesn't do enough damage and UpMagic gg's.

Use a multiplatform (standards-compliant) browser like Firefox, and then rip the mms:// link from the source, after which you can paste this into your favorite player.
Then click the bottom-right TV/DMB marble. It will open up many orange marbles in the center. Click the 5th marble***
Then, there's a million ways to go about getting the stream.
I suggest this - Click the GOMTV MSL icon at the bottom -_-;;
The Neon Green sign with a 3 color TV = View Live.
*** After you click marble #5, the 2nd tab = Starleague. If you click it, it opens up a screen with 6 Olive boxes, 5 of which have lables, at the top.
Sky ProLeague 2006 - Pringles MSL - MBC Survivor Elite School Leage (???) - Magic Station (???) - (Blank Box)
Voila, Past VODs.
!+_#!$(_!_$* - Side note. To watch previous MSL games, click that GOMTV icon mentioned earlier. Then on the very top, click the 2nd white text. Then uh.. You gotta decipher Koreans for the games but look for MSL+##'s. #'s refer to the round. MSL16(KoreanGibberish) means ro16 MSL. etc. That's the best I can do for you scrubs.

I just tested the MBC-Stream and it works in Quicktime on a Macintosh if Flip4Mac is installed. Go to http://www.microsoft.com/windows/windowsmedia/player/wmcomponents.mspx download the plugin and follow the install instructions. In your System Preferences you should find an entry named "Flip4Mac WMV" now, open it and select "Movie" on the top. Make sure the control box "Create streaming movies" is checked and close your system preferences. Restart Quicktime if you have left it open. Then go to http://rpgamers.free.fr/mbcgamelive/?link Copy the displayed URL and open it in Quicktime (Command-U). Click play O_o

Any guides on doing this?
(Actually that was me saying this.)
So, what you need to do is: - load http://myhome.naver.com/mjremixed/newsg/live/ongamenet.htm ; - when you see the embed player, click Stop as soon as you can (shouldn't be after "Connecting..."; if it's buffering it's too late) ; - then open the source of the page (should be Ctrl+U under Firefox) ; - search for "mms" within the html source ; - copy/paste the mms link into your favorite player and enjoy.
It's a bit annoying to do, but once you're used to it it's OK.
The thing is that I can't. I used the search function in FF and it could only find the "mm" in "common".
But anyways, the real problem at the moment is MBC Game. I can't load it. It looks like if my firewall blocked it but it doesn't - I checked multiple times. Does GOM TV stream live games?
Ok, mate. You open this http://www.mbcgame.co.kr/VOD/Live_player.asp# with FireFox and then press CTRL+U and look for mms link. Next you open it with "open URL" in Media Player or something.
Are you getting the same error? Do we now need to pay for watching OGN? Is it just that the user whose account we use hasn't paid for the service now? What is it?
No, you just need to paste the main page (mjremixed one) into the url bar until you don't get the crying Korean anymore. After that, you can find the mms link in the source.
OGN hasn't worked for me either. It tries to load the movie player, but stops and prompts to close the window. I scanned the source code, typed in the URL address it was directing to, and showed up on the following page: http://main.paran.com/paran/login_proc.jsp
If you look on the left-hand side, you'll see a graphic for OGN Live Streaming. If you click that, they'll direct you to a page (which seems to ask you to pay for their streaming, if I'm not mistaken).

The account owner hasn't paid for the service this time. I managed to log onto his accout and made sure it's the problem and the information on it confirmed my assumptions.
We need to contact him somehow because we can't just pay for him (although I managed to get the page where I can pay those "bills" etc. and I don't know Korean).
I managed to load the stream through "legitimate" route. I just need to extract the link/mms code or something but dunno how to do it with IE - in FF you just press ctrl+u but it doesn't load in FF anyways. ;/
Ok, I am not sure if this will work for everyone but please try. Use IE. Goto http://www.isaacts.com/tv wait for it to load, it may take some time. Pay attention though, a pop up will come up, when it does press ok immediately. Hopefully it will work for you guys.
Great job Corinthos, that's pretty much the kind of script I was starting to code (I don't have much time though --exams -- so I'm glad you beat me to it).
those two do not work for me either =T. The second one opens up windows media player once i click on the jarbled html text. The first one says I'm not connected to the internet.
On January 10 2007 09:57 EmilyJieunChoi wrote: .kaz appears we have same problem T.T
Mhm, first one opens WMP but it wont work, and if you click on the link in the second one it opens the same file in WMP but it still can't play it. I used both of these on a Mac at my school and it worked but WMP on my home PC won't play it.
Ok so, download WMP 11. When you have it downloaded and installed, opening it up, at the top, there is a bar with options to choose from, go Tools > Options > Player Tab. Click to check for updates once a day and download codecs immediatly. After a few minutes it updated for me, computer restarted, and now i can use the first and second link and both work.
On January 10 2007 10:28 EmilyJieunChoi wrote: did you try the Stream?
The first link opens a blank page, but WMP pops up and asks if i validate it, and if you click validate it will open the stream up. The 2nd one just opens WMP and starts playing it.

sorry, my internet cut out before i could edit what I posted. I meant the mbcgame.kr.co/vod/live_player stream
On January 10 2007 11:47 maybenexttime wrote: Yes and so did I (using the password). The thing is some people say the stream closes up after couple minutes.
There are currently two separate problems. The first one is having the OGN stream close down after a few minutes, and the second one is not being able to open the MBC stream. As of right now, I only have problems with OGN.
MarX, can you get the MBC stream to work on VideoLAN? For some reason my VideoLan player cannot open the MBC's mms link while my WMP can. I think it has something to do with the windows media DRM (digital right management, encoded in the streams). The weird thing is OGN live stream is supposely using the same technology, yet I can open that in VideoLAN just fine.
If you've tried the stream and it didn't work the first time, could you try once again? I'm getting mixed feedbacks. I've been watching so far for 1 and a half hours without problems. Anyhow, perhaps a good boot up, clean up the cache and try loading again will work. Or else I'll have to look into it when I got time. Gl
Yes it seems to be working fine now. It closed on me frequently yesterday but today its working like a charm. I don't even get that "ok" to click any more . It takes me straight to the stream.
I am having trouble watching OGN on my comp. Since all other stream links are dead I can only watch sc2, but I only hear the audio and no image =( anyhelp?
Windows Media Player cannot access the file. The file might be in use, you might not have access to the computer where the file is stored, or your proxy settings might not be correct.
Can somone go over the links on the first page to check if they all still work? I can only get a couple of them running (tho i know from my other computer that a couple of others work in FF)
So none of the links in "Watch Live Starcraft" work? This is the first time I'm trying to watch a live game but sc2.org gives blank page, the official streams give that error box, and PoP's script gives a blank page (all in IE).
edit: Corinthos' script also brings me to a Login page.

Use sc2.org with internet explorer and the latest update of windows media player. If you don't want to use internet explorer, make sure you use an IE plugin (for firefox).
I'm a frequent user of Mozilla, but that doesn't mean you can't watch it, they have a link to where you can download TVants which is actually not too bad at all.
Usually there are only 4 channels that have broodwar on them (so I think) YY_OGN YY_OGN3 YY_MBC YY_MBC3
I just saw a couple games that were totally crazy the other day, and the strats you see them use are really fun for you to try yourself.
You can use SC2.org to watch these, without any special apps? You can just DL and view? I heard about getting an account there, but is that all? I'm desperately trying to find someway to view these news VOD's that are continuously coming out but don't want to risk DL'ing anything "risky" and can't yet DL 4-5 other programs in which to view 'em... DILEMMA! >< thx for the news though, and all the other news concerning VOD's. It will be nice to know that once I discover the route to new VOD experience, it will be quite a lengthy route to travel.. so many new games to watch... too exciting - must suicide !G!
sorry for bumping an old thread, but i'm a trail so i can't make a new topic. and even tho ppl hate me for bumping(somebody said i would be hated for some reason)it actually sais that i am free to write in existing threads. well, to the topic...
i have read this post over and over. i have tried everything, and nothing works... is there anyway to watch live starcraft today? if so, please help me so i can have some fun.
it seems like a lot of people have been asking for this type of help recently, and the link given in the live report thread (how to watch live) can be confusing to figure out, so hopefully this will help.
the OP in this thread is out of date, now we use gom player and daum pot player. So google and use TL's search function for "gom player" and "daum pot player", the rest you should be able to figure out.
for the next couple of days there won't be any games broadcasted on the two media players above, so use http://www.yaoyuan.com/live.php yaoyuan works for games being broadcasted on gom or daum player too.
