-Your feelings on winning the Super Fight again
▶I'm happy that I've won against the best TvZ players at the Super Fight. Losing the 1st place ranking to Lee Yoon-Yeol (NaDa) was another reason that I wanted to beat him. If I get the opportunity to play again, I would like to face Choi Yeon-Sung (iloveoov). I would like to keep facing players that I think is strong. I want to be the best player of this year.
-Your recent "force" is great
▶The biggest thing is that the atmosphere is great. I keep winning and people compliment me on my skills so I think that's why my games work out even better.
-In your intro scene, you lost your footing a bit.
▶It's not because I was nervous, but my knees aren't that good, so I lost my footing on my way down the stairs. The intro scene looked nice and I liked it.
-Did you expect early pressure on the 1st game.
▶I didn't think that the cheese rush was coming initially. However, Arcadia 2 is a map where the Terrans work on early strategy so I was keeping an eye out for that.
-You came back to win the 2nd game
▶Actually, I didn't think I was that far behind during the game. I think I won because I wasn't kept in check with Drop Ships.
-The main reason for winning the 4th game on Tau Cross.
▶The big reason is that an Overlord that was situated at an important location wasn't found so it was allowed to keep scouting
-You now have over 1 0000 0000 Wons (approx. $100000 USD) in prize money. What are your plans on their usage.
▶I didn't think of what to do with the winnings yet. The raise in the Super Fight's prize money allowed me to increase my will to win.
Pantech EX Lee Yoon-Yeol (NaDa): I'm not satisfied with the way I played. However, that doesn't change the fact that I lost. I'm disappointed in my loss at the 2nd game. Not noticing the 7 o'clock expo until it was too late was the reason for losing. I realize again that Ma Jae-Yoon (Savior) is a very patient player. The next time I face him, I will take my revenge.
▶It's not because I was nervous, but my knees aren't that good, so I lost my footing on my way down the stairs. The intro scene looked nice and I liked it.
well, i thought he didn't seem to like his intro scene. I hope CJ media provide more good intro movie for savior next time.
I'd reallly like to see a rematch at some point, Nada is a brilliant player and now that he knows a little bit more about saviors game i think he might be able to pull off a win.
And I hate FALSE MODESTY more than I hate arrogance. Arrogance may be annoying, but false modesty is downright dishonest and fucking patronizing.
This kid is the fucking REAL DEAL. He's dominating the scene like no one has since Boxer in 2000-2001. Pay your respects and realize that a player like this isn't going to come again very soon.
Like Muhammad Ali said, "It ain't bragging if you can do it."

well he iss carrying the weight of being the most dominant PLAYER out there right now. i know my knees wouldnt be able to take that kind of weight. ...it just shows you how much of a monster he is

Didn't he think he could win(during game) because he wasn't harrassed by dropships?
There were 1st person views shown on Gom TV I guess? and someone who watched Nada's 1st person on Tau Cross described its ending on DC inside post:
Towards the end with the defeat imminent, Nada stopped playing for a bit, then he started to type GG, but then he erased it. Then he resumed playing for just a bit more then GGed.
Then when he saved the game's replay, he mistyped Savior's name 4 times in a row? eventually saving with a mistyped name- 마재유4 (which is sort of like Savio 4 or Svaiore 4)
It seemed to show how bad he wanted to win and how devastated he was by the loss.
I wanted Savior to win but poor Nada. He played so well in game 2. whew.

FFS you are talking about people who make hundreds of thousands of dollars a year to play starcraft...their faces are plastered over magazines, cereal boxes and television commericals. Are you telling me you wouldn't be a little cocky if you were in that spot? On top of that, these players barely show any emotion when winning/loosing.
can you imagine a westerner winning OSL finals? id be backflipping across the stage with a shit eating grin across my face. Id have my shirt half ripped off swinging it around and probably grab the announcer trying to interview me with a big sweaty hug....
The whole nature of this game is winning for ego. Dont confuse confidence with arrogance

Aww, poor Nada, thx for sharing that. ; )
Yeah, he played extremely well game 2, it's insane how Savior managed to win that game.
I just watched the superfight and I dont have the words to describe how well savior played... even in game 3. IMHO no player stand a chance against him. And above all he is the first zerg that has become unbeatable in his prime (only Boxer and oov did it, both terrans) since there is currently no player that can even hope to beat him in a bo5.
And btw there is no arrogance in the interview, just confidece.
He is undoubtedly the best, but I still think he's not as unbeatable as a lot of you claim. They were all pretty good games, and I think all of them (except the last game) were pretty close to be nada games.

thats just me though :p.
hahah, well said. i liked the imagery of a non korean winner don't know if i would go that far if i won, but i'd certainly be smiling like crazy pumping my fist in the air! this topic is now about what you would do if you won the osl post!

arrogance? =O i totally love his drive to be the best
NaDa's words are more arrogant....
He says that he "definitely won't lose" at the start of the match. Then he "definitely will have his revenge" later. Good confidence, but lots of arrogance as well.

Thanks, I hate people who say Savior is arrogant because he is not. He is clearly the dominant player so I don't see how even reffering himself has the dominant player would be bad (he doesn't do it anyhow).
I think a lot of this percieved arrogance that people comment on is probably at least partially as a result of the translation process. This is not meant as a slight to any of our wondefully kind translators.
I don't think Savior or Nada are arrogant. They're just confident in their abilities. I'm sure Nada believes that in a rematch he could beat Savior. This series was no blow-out Nada looked good, just made a couple of mistakes. And Savior is the guy to beat right now, so he should be sure of himself.
Professional Starcraft is probably one of the most mental/emotionally taxing jobs out there. If these guys don't maintain their confidence they end up slumping bad.

I forget when and where this happened but I remember Boxer being called arrogant and a show-off. This was a fair while ago. It was in an offline qualifier when Boxer's tank drops were pwning. He beat a player and said something like "Did you see how fast those tanks came? You didn't expect them to come that fast!" and apparently insulted (not assaulted!) the other player.
Then everyone went around saying how boxer is a bm show-off. Face it, IPXZerg is not the crowd favourite, but he should (at least) get respect. I mean, to me, GoRush and Savior are one and the same. They are BOTH very oldschool. They both SLUMPED and went "off the map" for a FEW years and both came back stronger and MORE RESOLUTE than ever.
So why so much hate on Savior? I think it's bcoz he's never been in the spotlight before and now he's "burst" onto the scene. Which has f*cked up the flow a little bit as people expected the Nada/Anytime steamroller to continue.
After watching the 1st person VOD,,, I have to agree that FROM SAVIOR's POV it didn't look so bad as it was extremely behind in that game.... not saying he was ahead or even.... indeed he was a bit behind but not something huge like it was a 100% sure win for nada.... it looked as he had a small change to win and he converted it.
Nada chobo -_-;; MM Fluke on Blitz = Nothx. Savior shoulda 3-0'd him. Lucky lucky Nada... and if I just 3-0'd the OSL champ, I'd be cocky as all hell too.
Really nice coming from Savior the man itself...his favorite candidate to play again with is no other than...Choi Yung Sun IlOveOOv...thats awesome since IlOveOOv is the one who won the WCG 2006... That proves many things about my beliefs...and that South Koreans have that winning and competitiveness mentality I though of...I am happy to hear this...really happy... IlOveOOv vs Savior...I just have to wait for that incredible moment...

Huh, what? I'm not sure about how old Savior is, but the guy has never been "off the map" so far. He needed a few months before being able to display his skills but he has only gotten better since then. And my guess is that, just like Nada and Oov, he won't have a slump before winning an OSL.

he was around for a while before he really came on in the msl where he beat nada 2-0 and stuff im pretty sure, i dont know how long though.
Sure he was. Just like any other rookie, he was basically playing a few random teamleague games at first, while learning from teammates, and then started qualifying for individual leagues, etc etc. But the guy's not nearly as "oldschool" as Gorush is. And he's never got into a slump or anything like that. (Yet.)
On December 04 2006 16:40 ManaBlue wrote: I prey you're wrong Pop. I'd love to see Savior get bitchslapped in OSL quarters by a dark horse.
Well, I'm not meaning he'll definitely win the first OSL he'll get to play in -- but I sure doubt he'll slump before achieving one.
Which means he could lose while being in top shape? Am I crazy?! Well, if you look at Oov, that's exactly what happened to him during his first OSL (vs July). He won the following one though, if I'm not mistaken. And then only started slumping (even though his first one was kinda short).
edit: also yeah, ZvZ is another possibility, although Savior has become one of the very best at it, imo.

When he is seen as the underdog, it is confidence, not arrogance. Although he may very well have been arrogant, we dont count that against him.
I like his Confidence, he's so cool. When you're the best, there's no reason to be modest. As long as you don't act all arrogant and think you're better than anyone else.
Yeah, I really don't find it exaggarating or an arrogance when he says he wants to be the best player of the year! He can beat anyone, even his ZvZ is absolutely on the top level and he can compete with Chojja and other superb Zergs, he deserves the #1 spot definitely!
