Savior - You won the first round of "Savior vs OGN Sparkies" ▶ It was very stressful because my first match had generated a lot of interest ever since the group selection. [read about it here]. I think because of what happened then I practiced for this match extra hard. I was very focused, too.
- People were calling it the "game channel derby" [CJ is preparing to launch a game channel]. Were you aware? ▶Truthfully, I didn't think much of it. I just focused on the match. I only had one week to prepare for it so I didn't have time to think about anything else.
-Both of your potential next opponents strongly want to face you. Who do you want to face? ▶I don't have a particular preference. The second match will yeild a winner, and once my opponent is decided I will start to prepare. In order to keep the promise I made during group selection, I have to come in first in group A, so I will try my hardest.
-Many reacted by saying you were very mean. ▶It's because of the group selection. I don't want to dwell on it any more. If I must comment on it, a part of the reason behind it was that I wanted to make the group selection fun and interesting for the fans.
-What's your goal for this season ▶To get a seed for the next. If I can get a seed, my goal will naturally upgrade from there.
Yellow[Name] -You had to beat your teammate. ▶It's the second time, after the last OSL. Last time, I thought it would be a good experience so I took it in stride. But this time when it happened again it was difficult, especially practicing. And I feel like the three of us ended up in the same group because of me so I felt sorry.
-Your match with Casy[Name] was an incredible dogfight. ▶My attacks were constantly being blocked. The drops weren't working well either. So in the midgame I felt very much in danger. My resources were bottoming out and I thought I might lose. I tried to calm down and play carefully, and that's when I realized that my opponent was also running out of money. So I stuck in there, and kept attacking.
-You will face Savior ▶It's what I wanted since the group selection. Casy[Name] was good too. On our way here we agreed that whoever gets to face Savior will beat him no matter what. And I will.
-Your ZvZ is suspect. ▶I'll get confident through practice. I will allot as much time as I can to prepare for Savior. That's how I will win for sure.
-Any word before facing Savior? ▶I lost to him once in the Proleague. Finally a chance for revenge has come. I know I can win if I work hard.
Boxer -This victory seems to mean more than usual. ▶I wanted an even longer match. I wanted to see Nal_Ra use everything Protoss has, Aribters, Carriers, everything. I wanted to beat Nal_Ra after he did everything he could against me. Whenever I lost to Nal_Ra I lost only after showing everything I had. I hoped that would happen today too but I won before it could happen. So I'm not as happy as I thought I would be.
-Was your Three-CC a specific strategy to counter no-gate double nexus? ▶I didn't go three-cc just because it was no-gate nexus. I saw what happened, then I watched Nal_Ra's play after that and I decided that three-CC had a chance of working.
-Your Turrets were a big hit. ▶It was unexpected luck for his Shuttle to die to my turrets. Those turrets weren't exactly for defense - they were to pressure Nal_Ra. "Don't come through that path" was what I was trying to say with those turrets. But when they actually shot down Nal_Ra's shuttle I could feel the balance swinging my way.
-Who do you want to meet next? ▶I have a history with both players. I don't care which one it ends up being. I would like to face Nal_Ra again with elimination at stake. I told him so before our match. If I lose and end up in the final game, I want Nal_Ra to come up and face me again.
-Has the decision to enter the army changed you in any way? ▶I had given much thought to the army issue since a long time ago. It hasn't changed me. I believe that I must game until the day I leave. I'm simply going to do my best in the games that are given to me.
-Many fans are hoping for Boxer-Yellow in the ProLeague Allstar game. ▶Facing Yellow is always fun for me. He'll have to chose his map wisely. Tossgirl might face him depending on the map.
-What are you goals for this season. ▶I want to leave a powerful image, so I will go all out against every player I face. My opponents will have to get nervous when they face me.
-What are your long term goals? ▶For the moment,I want to be the kind of player who is still a pro into my 30s. I feel that someone has to be the one to do it. I will be a player who can return to the scene after returning from the military.
Silver -As expected, the strength of your Hydras was different from the rest. ▶Hydras fit me, maybe because I used them so much while I was still an amateur. I want to use Mutas too but my record isn't that good when I do, so I stick to my style. I decided to stay with my style when I play protoss. I noticed that Pusan must have been thinking about my hydras too, because he built four cannons from the very beginning.
-What about the early drone rush? ▶When the protoss tries to harrass zerg from buliding hatcheries, if the zerg fakes a drone Maynard and instead attacks his cannons, the cannons will fall. During practice this would always work as I planned, but Pusan seems to also have known about it too. Most protosses arn't ready, because they get attacked even before the zerg has a spawning pool. But Pusan had good defense. I realized it would fail and immediately pulled the drones back.
-Your next opponent is Boxer. ▶That's what I wanted. I want to pay him back for that Proleague loss [Pantech 0 - 3 SKT]. If I had just beat him I could have recorded one win against each team, but that loss left a mark on my record. I will win no matter what.
-How are the new maps? ▶I havn't played all the maps yet so I can't say for sure. Arcadia II is definately not bad for Zerg.
-This was your first match after your LASIK surgury. ▶There was no trouble. I'm glad I won.
-What are your goals for this season? ▶I have no big ambitions yet. I will approach this league with the mindset that I will beat each player I encounter.
-You will be featured in the Allstar game. ▶I think I will play in the 2v2. Probably with Sigamari from Samsung Khan? Personally, I want to face iloveoov. My record with him is so bad, so I would like to beat him.
Big thanks HonestTea! How to understand this: "-Many fans are hoping for Boxer-Yellow in the ProLeague Allstar game. ▶Facing Yellow is always fun for me. He'll have to chose his map wisely. Tossgirl might face him depending on the map."

Shinhwa is no newbie... TL.net underrates him bad. Yes, it's true Boxer is much better, but Shinhwa is pretty strong actually. He and Zergman were the underrated heros of the last OSL imo.
Silver really needs some fans. Silver is actually really pretty good. He helps carry his team a lot too. I would honestly like Silver to emerge on top of many users. I think I will start by becoming a devoted SIlver fan -_-;;

As long as he puts style over substance his risk of losing this MSL is still quite high.

But this MSL is Boxer's sorry.
YOu should have been there live. YOu would have cried. Half the people left after boxer's game. No one cheered him on and no signs for him too.

is it just me or is boxer handing off the torch to nal_ra instead of iloveoov
I think it is because they are from a more similar generation of pro gamers. Plus Oov is not in this MSL anyways. Ra is the oldest protoss there, just like Boxer is the oldest Terran there, and they do have quite a rivalry.
I honestly thought it was really ballsy of Boxer to pick Ra who most people would put the emperor at a severe disadvantage against. I'm just guessing it is the respect they have towards each other after a long long rivalry and constant meetings causing both of them to sweat like crazy.

T.T SSM Silver.... I remember way back when he prevented Boxer from qualifying... that was him right? Ooh how I hated him then, but I always seem to think Silver won't do that well but he always seems to carry Pantech now... Nada and Silver...
I hope one day, before we know it, he will be like another Jju... a constant steady awesome player.

Yeah, it has nothing to do with handing off the torch. If Boxer picked a nobody and won, then okay, but if Boxer picked a nobody and lost, how would everyone feel about Boxer gonig out because of a nobody?
Boxer needed to pick someone who's not only good, but somebody with a big name. That narrows the list down. Pretty much I'd say Boxer needed to play one of Savior, Chojja, Nal_Ra and NaDa. Savior had other ideas about how his group should be, plus they only faced off once before in a match -- they have no history. That narrows it down. Chojja is a pretty good candidate, but Boxer usually beats Chojja and while they have some history (14 games played, Boxer 9 - Chojja 5), Chojja would probably have switched out in favor of a Z or P, and besides that there's no special connection between Boxer and Chojja really. That narrows it down. NaDa would be a great pick. After all, it was NaDa who stole the KeSPA #1 slot from Boxer in the first place. But many of the memorable encounters between Boxer and NaDa were more light-hearted and TvT isn't the most exciting match to go out on. On the other hand, Ra had a staggering 9-2 record over Boxer going into the game. Ra is considered by many a Protoss equivalent to Boxer in terms of the strategic insight he brought to his race (Garimto also fills this role, but Garimto retired long ago now). Ra is not the type who would back down from this fight. And Ra vs Boxer games have often been pretty epic, with Boxer trying to pull out every last stop before finalling throwing in the towel.
The choice was obvious. This game was potentially Boxer's 2nd to last Starleague game ever and the only better opponent Boxer could have to go out against would be Yellow, his rival of old. And I want to bring up another point. I voted for Ra over Boxer. I believed Ra would proxy rape Boxer. I realize now why he didn't -- he wanted to create an epic battle against the emporer, and a do-or-die rush is not at all the way to do it.
I think this is the best part of the entire interviews:

LASIK is a surgical procedure intended to reduce a person's dependency on glasses or contact lenses. LASIK stands for Laser-Assisted In Situ Keratomileusis and is a procedure that permanently changes the shape of the cornea, the clear covering of the front of the eye, using an excimer laser. A knife, called a microkeratome, is used to cut a flap in the cornea. A hinge is left at one end of this flap. The flap is folded back revealing the stroma, the middlesection of the cornea. Pulses from a computer-controlled laser vaporize a portion of the stroma and the flap is replaced. There are other techniques and many new terms related to LASIK that you may hear about.
