For exemple, PoE is still the "same thing" at start... you do the campaign, you map. But then you can do so many other thing and they are all rewarding, pushing, etc.
Ex: I did lots of maping, juicing map etc, this league and was a bit burn out on mapping.. well I just started devling and try to get as deep as I can.
It also doesn't help that this season (talking about D4 Season) is attrocius...
It's funny for me to think back to PoE at the same stage in its life as D4 is now, and compare that to modern day PoE. I don't ever expect Blizzard to evolve D4 in a similar way that PoE evolved, and it feels like PoE started with a solid base of unique mechanics (the socket/link system + currency system) and just kept evolving from there. That said, from memory it was preeeeeetty barebones for the first seasons of its existence.
Most everything I've heard of D4 seems to suggest it's shitty at its core, which leaves me little faith for it to ever evolve into something worthwhile.
PoE was fairly bare bones and rough around the edges but it had a solid base indeed and more than enough interesting stuff going, as opposed to all the pointless busywork in D4. There was more of a game there, if that makes sense. GGG also only had a couple dozen people at the company at the time.
So in order to craft a Uber Unique you have to have FIVE Ubers in to order craft said item during said season rofl Jesus Christ
Needless to say, more evidence the developers don't play their own game. As said drop rate make this impossible to achieve unless they are being duped. GG Blizzard. Keep in mind this was AFTER they did a mass deletion of Duriel Mats duped or not lol
Yesterday's campfire chat. You know it's bad when everything comes to a stop because the developers read a line from chat about Gauntlet that basically exposes a major game breaking problem regarding it and the campfire chat and everything else just stops... just watch; it's insane lol

Another Campfire chat next Wednesday. This time to showcase the PTR, and itemization changes... which basically confirms Season 3 has been an absolute waste of time.
Get your first glimpse at sweeping changes coming to Diablo IV. On March 20, at 11 a.m. PDT, join community director Adam Fletcher, associate game designer Charles Dunn, lead live class designer Adam Jackson, and associate game director Joe Piepiora as they detail the massive itemization changes coming to Season 4. We’ll discuss how Affixes, item stats, the Codex of Power, and new in-game systems will change the way you slay and loot across both Seasonal and Eternal Realms. Additionally, there’ll be much more to share in the Campfire Chat for your first look at Season 4!
Itemization changes sound mostly positive in theory. I don't know about reducing rares to 2 random affixes though since legendaries will go down to 3. That sounds problematic depending on how other changes go.

thx for posting. if Helldivers2 gets boring i'll try this game again.
I've been playing other games (Last Epoch + a bunch of Switch games), but I might end up playing a few additional D4 characters this spring/summer, if these changes really do significantly improve the experience.
