I am posting this for Mike (tlnet Accountname June_ger, because he cannot create threads on TL.net yet:
After a lot of work, BWChat 1.2 has been translated into English to make it useful for the whole StarCraft Broodwar Community.
What is BWChat?
BWChat is a StarCraft Broodwar Chat on your desktop. It's not a bot like Stealthbot or anything like that. You run Broodwar, join Battle.net - and then run BWChat. You don't need to enter any nickname, password or CDKey. BWChat reads the information directly from StarCraft Broodwar!
Okay. Chatting on desktop is nice, but what else can BWChat do?
Features:
- BWChat includes its own IRC Client - Winamp Control as form - Winamp Control when Broodwar is maximized (while you are in a channel, but also when you are ingame and playing) - Greet Message - Idle Message - Lock Capslock while playing (system) - Lock WindowKey while playing (only while playing a SC/BW game) - Included Clock - Autoupdate (or manual) function - Many ColourThemes - Save Battle.net ChatLog
How to use Winamp @ SC/BW while playing or in channel?
Winamp-Controls
/play /stop /pause /next /back /status /mp3 /vol+ /vol- /volmax /mute
Setting up the included IRC client is very easy. Everybody should be able to get it running. If you have anyway problems use the included detailed helpfiles.
But now, have a look at some Screenshots!:
BWChannel running in BWChat on desktop:
Options, Channelmanagement, Extras ect.:
Included IRC Client with ColourOptiones:
Winamp control in channel (when Broodwar is maximized):
Winamp control ingame - while playing (messages are optional):
IMPORTANT!
- When you start BWChat, the autoupdate will find a new version.
- If you have problems with the setup don't install BWChat - sorry! We are working on a second setup. Will be released in 1-2 days!
You can download:
a) SetupPaket.zip - Unzip it and install setup.exe
b) SetupPaket.exe - Open SetupPaket.exe - it will create the setup.exe - install it.
PFW-DownloadPage: http://www.PFW.de.tt/BWChatDL.htm
BWChat was developed, designed and programmed by PFW - Professional Freeware.
Have fun! :-)

a useful tip for winamp users while playing sc - enable your hotkeys for play, end, next, back, and shuffle on winamp. they're usually ctrl+alt+pagedown, ctrl+alt+end, etc and it's a very convenient way to change songs or even find them if you toggle shuffle and know your list well.
just a way to manage winamp if you don't have this program.

this is good news gonna try that.

Yeah and you can modify the hotkeys to whatever you like. I have them all on my numpad. / for back one track, * for pause/play, - for forward a track, 7/4 for skip forward/back 5 seconds, 8/5 for volume, + for stop. Works great in-game.

Is there an english version of this? I get an error message everytime I try to install, and I can't even read what it is.

I know your error. This is why I told, a second setup will be ready soon.
BWChat is complete in english - the setup is made by a microsoft setup tool. Nobody knows why this error happening. Something about: Update your systemfiles

Yea this is worthless, global hotkeys is a lot easier than typing in /play or whatever. How is It different from stealth both other than the CD key thing?

Most keyboards now-a-days have the play/stop/next and volume buttons, so just enabling global hotkeys in winamp sets it up.
Back on topic: same error as the guys above. Waiting for the new version

If you really feel you should bump this and ask for help, try and be more specific. Provide as much help as you possibly can, and I'm sure someone will gladly help you.

ok, so the installer gives an error. i select it where to install. and after this it posts a german error and uninstalls. i thought it was a directory issue, as i saw the installer looks pretty old, and i copied it into c:\temp\bwchat and ran it from there. the same issue.
