Well... my dad brought in the computer few days ago, and those capitalist bastards charged us 500$ we went from 128ram to 256ram, from p3 866 to p4 2gigz, they changed the motherboard .. think thats it.
anyways the problem is related to .avi files my brother was trying to play kill bill divx and it seems every 10 or 15 seconds, theres a small audio AND video lag jump for a third of a second, and this goes for all video programs. it happens on all my movies really weird.... im wondering if its a problem with my motherboard.. ? or my 3d card? but i never had this problem with old computer
also another weird problem i noticed.... when u have a dark background... i see these little silvery specks every so often on the screen.. like pixels.. i see them sometimes when loading BW (black screen with kerrigan) or even when im watching a dark movie... i see specks and its pretty annoying. anyone know what this could be?

(the white dots)
Almost sounds like "artifacts" which occur when your video card is over heating..but I don't think that would over heat your video card..especially not loading BW

Veg you are a smart guy so I guess you got the updated codecs and everything. It does sound like a hardware problem, try to enable/diable hardware acceleration on movies and see if that helps.
Also if you can borrow another 3d card, or have an on-board card you can try instead of your regualar one, you should test that. Hardware problems are really stupid to check..
btw you guys were ripped off next time order the parts and build yourself, really easy.

Put your hand on the 3d card to check this - the computer people might have been cheap on the fans.

If you have an ati video card, you might want to go check out atitool it's a cool little program that'll let you overclock your video card, but more importantly, test for artifacts while making your card work hard

Use DivX for your .avi problems update codecs/update player, if you already used it then it's probably your graphics card, A. It's not powerful enough, B. Your not running full capabilities, C. Overheated. It'd help if you named your graphics card.
For your pixel problem, do you use LCD? If you do it's almost guranteed to have dead subpixels, The little discolored dots, pretty fucking small but whenever I use one it bothers the hell outta me. If you have 3 or more dead pixels you can refund the LCD, if you have dead subpixels sometimes they let you just exchange to see if you get a dead subpixel in the corner or something. Dead subpixels just come along with low-cost LCD's.

GeForce 2 32 meg card
and when this problem happens on players like vidomi, vcl, divx, real one, media player, im quite certain its not PLAYER codecs
maybe i need to update drivers?
what are websites for GeForce drivers?

Computers are easy to get ripped off on if you don't know what you are doing. Best way to learn what you are doing... get ripped off a couple of times and get pissed, then find out how not to get ripped off=)

They f--ked your video card up
Or took it and replaced it with a substitute

Wow GForce 2 not suprised. Check out Nvidia.com for drivers like Magnifica said, if that doesn't work it's probably because your vid card is really outdated.

its the mouse powering ur comp getting tired, thats all~.~
