you can rile any one up with a couple of asshole questions while they are in the midst of losing that last 10 pounds of weight.. shove a camera in their face at some random angle and make them look awkward.
Hendricks may or may not be "clean" , but the video proves zero.
Hendricks v. St Pierre Revisited
Hendricks and/or his corner assumed they had a 3-1 lead in rounds going into round 5. A few people can argue that is may have been 2-2 with St.Pierre winning round 1. The problem is ... Hendricks fought ultra safe in round 5 and literally handed GSP that 5th round. Had Hendricks fought round 5 the way he did 1 through 4 then he probably would've won the fight.
I think Hendricks won, but not going in for the kill in round 5 cost him the title. He had GSP down and out and he let him back into the fight.
Robbie Lawler He ate Rory Macdonald for breakfast. No one has ever made Rory look this bad. Lawler's offense is amazing.
Main Card (Pay-Per-View) Welterweight: Johny Hendricks vs Robbie Lawler
I have no idea what the betting line on this fight is, but I probably wouldn't be willing to throw any money at it. I personally think that the best chance Hendricks has in this fight is to use his wrestling and attempt to work some smothering ground and pound. I don't care how scary his left hand is, he doesn't want to stand and brawl with Lawler and potentially leave it up to the judges to judge a boxing match...he needs to take him down and beat the shit out of him because MMA judges only seem to know top game. For Lawler I think it's the opposite, stay on the outside, circle away from the left, and pick him apart. Try to steal the Tri-Star jab and keep him at range. I personally think that Lawler, while good, is overrated. Hendricks TKO rnd 3
Welterweight: Carlos Condit vs Tyron Woodley
I think Condit is going to be just a little too crafty and versatile in all aspects of MMA for Woodley to deal with. Condit UD.
Lightweight: Diego Sanchez vs Myles Jury
Myles Jury is from Michigan. I am also from Michigan. Myles Jury rnd 2 RNC.
Welterweight: Jake Shields vs Hector Lombard
This is my personal favorite on the card, because I think Lombard is going to be the next WW champ (well...next as in after the next...lol). I also think for Shields this is going to be a lot like the Hendo fight. Lombard is a fucking tree trunk at WW, he's like a 170 pound Overeem when he was on 'roids and in Japan, except Lombard is (maybe) clean. If Shields is able to get by the round 1 storm, keep him away and moving in the stand up, and find a way to get the fight to the ground he certainly has a chance. Lombard rnd 1 TKO
Light Heavyweight: Ovince St. Preux vs Nikita Krylov

should be a great fight.
Whilst I don't disagree that Lawler won that fight, saying he ate Rory for breakfast is reaching a bit.
Cain ate JDS for breakfast
Lawler won a close fight that he was clearly taking more and more control of throughout.
I don't really care who wins this, its more who I'd rather see lose - which is Hendro. The way he spat the dummy after 'cruising to a win' was poetic. DON'T. FUCKING. CRUISE. EVER.

The winner doesn't even matter, because they are just keeping the belt warm until Uncle Dana decides Lombard has put in enough work to make up for a couple embarrassments at MW

Without GSP & Fitch, I definitely see Lombard having a strong chance at being a violent weapon at WW.
Just depends whether Shields can smother him without getting KO'd - if he doesn't get that done, Lombard will be free reign against anyone I think.
Might take someone like Condit to put him in a war and gas him. Unless Hendro's left really is H-Bomb 2.0.

For the Hendricks vid, of course, I don't think his hesitation = on steroids. It was just funny in that there was a hesitation like that, made me chuckle.
To GrapeApe, amazing logic as to why Myles Jury should win, lol.
I'll be interested to see if Lombard gets taken down or gets stuck in the clinch game during his fight with Shields. I believe he's a black belt in Judo, so his base should be amazing and Shields had a hard time taking down Akiyama (in a fight which I believe Akiyama should've won 2 rounds to 1, but I digress) and got tossed around like a ragdoll.
Although I'm actually expecting a pretty decent stand-up fight that ends in a decision between Hendricks/Lawler, imagine if Hendricks gets knocked out... For some reason, I can't imagine Hendrick's body going limp and just crashing onto the canvas.
This isn't relevant to UFC 171, but I have no where else to post it and LOL'd so hard @_@
lol, I know right? Admittedly though, my brother and I are big Jury fans and we really think he should be able to beat Sanchez. Diego is a great measuring stick for up and comers, haha.
Hendricks isn't gonna stay champ for long. i still think lawler is gonna beat him, but hey most people think otherwise. if he does end up winning, a championship match vs condit will cost him the belt. everyone knows that their previous fight was in condit's hand if it were 5 rounds instead of 3 (also if hendricks managed to take him down multiple times he never acheived anything with these takedowns). Also not a fan of wrestlers, i think its the weakest "martial art" you can have as background in UFC, obviously all longtime champs had great jiu and standing (everything hendricks doesnt have - except his steroid left hook).

You sound like an ignorant troll that's always found in places like MMAWeekly or BleacherReport. Anyways...

Regardless, MMA judging (for the most part) gives points solely just for getting takedowns. Did Condit win the FIGHT? Yes. Did Condit win the MMA contest with MMA judging? No. I do agree that Condit obviously did more damage, but it went to a decision, meaning you judge the fight on Octagon control and all the above, meaning Hendricks did enough to win.
Also not a fan of wrestlers, i think its the weakest "martial art" you can have as background in UFC, obviously all longtime champs had great jiu and standing (everything hendricks doesnt have - except his steroid left hook).
I guess GSP, Jon Jones, Chris Weidman, and Cain Velasquez aren't champions then... It's always been half-and-half between BJJ practitioners and wrestlers in terms of how long each side has held their own championship. Right now, we have mainly BJJ practitioners in Barao, Aldo, and Pettis. Wrestlers exist in Johnson, Weidman, Jones, and Velasquez. Also, if anything, if one had to choose between any of the martial arts to succeed in MMA, it'd be wrestling, simply because it is the base of MMA judging.
Edit: And also, what evidence do you have that Hendricks is on steroids, other than your own assumption? Was he ever caught for elevated testosterone levels? Is he linked to any PED/HGH usage? Or are you trying to say anyone with KO power is on steroids? I guess everyone that's ever KO'ed anybody from Hyun Gyu Lim to Carlos Condit to Matt Brown is on steroids.

You can think wrestling is the weakest all you want but... I'm a big fan of people stating their opinions and then backing them up with sustenance... Please, do share your wisdom as to how you came to the conclusion that hendricks takes steroids, and please share why you think wrestling is the weakest. Because I'm positive that the majority of MMA fans / practitioners would disagree wholeheartedly with you.
Here's a reddit AMA (Ask my anything) of Jake Shields. There's some questions about his fight with Hector Lombard, but more or less, what one would normally ask an MMA fighter.
i enjoy watching UFC cards. but, i must admit i really have no clue what is going on during grappling. after watching a few of the "gracie breakdowns" on youtube i really got an idea of how little i understand about wrestling and grappling in MMA. however, listening to other people talk about UFC fights i get the feeling most people are about as clueless as i am. the stand up part of the fight is much more intuitive and easy to understand. defending take downs and executing take downs i understand a bit... but once both guys are clenched up i just have no idea what is good and what is bad.
That's hard to explain as well, since the judging is so inconsistent, it's hard to tell when it's beneficial for someone in the clinch and when it's not. Matter of fact, the judging is usually so inconsistent that one can never be too sure that takedowns actually secured the fight, or if defending every single takedown won the fight.
I'm pretty sure as long as someone pulls an Anderson Silva Thai clinch and knee their opponent into oblivion, everything will be alright.
