Given how much I'll likely play it (and compared to what I normally pay for other forms of entertainment (dining out, movies, sporting events, etc.) and get in return for my investment), I would probably pay $250 for it and it would still be a steal.
If you think you'll play through the campaign and at least 20 to 30 hours of multiplayer and the arcade mode I don't see how you could possibly object to a $40 price tag.

I see what you are saying, but it's not too many, to be honest. How many was that, three or four hundreds? Blizzard counts sales in millions. Those 4 hundreds not buying is a totally insignificant amount. And that's assuming they are really not buying.
I agree. Most of the people posting here who say they won't buy it, I'd guess, will probably end up buying it. Also to the extent they won't, those people represent the most preposterously impossible to please group of people on the planet. (You didn't implement such and such buff to the siege tank -- good job ruining the game Blizzard!) Unless you simply dislike RTS games as a general matter or live in abject poverty, you will buy HoTS.

HOTS. I'm very unsure to be honest. It just seems half assed.
Please note this is my OPINION.

With the included beta access there's absolutely no point in NOT pre-purchasing right now, you're basically getting the game early
|
I've had the Beta for months, and it's fun and all... However, I will not buy it. Not until it's proven to me that it has lasting value, and the meta-game (like someone else said earlier) shows significant improvement over WoL.
|
I'm going to play the shit out of this game so absolutely
|
Will buy it and play through the campaign, then go back to DotA.
|
Gonna play the hell out of the campaign and gonna get all the badges!
|
Already Pre ordered the game, I dont see the point of complaining about the price. $40 is still less than most games, which are about $60, and HOTS will have support for much longer than any COD, or any other game out there.
|
unsure, I'm disappointed with WOL as enough as it is already.
|
not sure why you guys are buying it 40$, i'm just gonna buy a key on internet for 29€, it's not like i really need the box.
|
If they bring all they offered it should be worth it, so yes.
|
Already pre-ordered. Not just for the multiplayer, either, unlike WoL. I'm very interested in how the campaign plays out.

Honestly, I have no intent in buying the game. I am not very happy with how things in wol turned out and there is no guarantee that blizzard will make the changes required to balance their games since they took over an year to change the infestors in terms of their ability. Spending 50 bucks for an expansion simply isnt worth it, if it was 20-25 okay, i guess thats reasonable, but I despise the idea of what blizzard is trying to do in terms of their profits by splitting up the expansions so they can get more profits when they release them separately. Anyways thats my rant and those are my opinions. I just lost interest in blizzard and their products since i was highly disappointed with diablo 3. i will admit that blizzard knows how to attract their audience but lately they have been falling short of delivery. Sorry blizz, im not buying your product. I did have a high opinion once upon a time now i am just a very unsatisfied customer.

I'm just laughing at all the people in this thread claiming very little is different and Blizzard hasn't put any effort into HotS, lol. Seriously, play more than like 5 games and really play around with the new stuff and really look at all the new things available in game and in the UI. And that's not even counting the new campaign. There is EASILY $40 worth of content in the beta alone.
Anyway, as the poll indicates, it's just the usual TL vocal minority angst-filled babies that are raising a stink, while everyone actually excited is just patiently waiting for release. I've had my CE pre-ordered for weeks now, and plan on picking it up at midnight. I am a Blizzard veteran, though, and have no illusions about being able to actually play reliably on launch night lololol

wol was more interesting and expected.

votet unsure, because i will pay it some day, but not for the release price.

$40 for 2 years of fast paced, rts fun. I have no idea what people are complaining about. And the 40 bucks for an expansion isnt a new concept lol

Got my preorder through TL, did it thinking it might support TL, not sure though
