A regular turnip only does like 2 damage. It's like a 1/100 chance to pull it. This player got it, and was able to use it successfully three times in a row by catching it over and over.

Keep in mind this is also in the grand finals of a tournament where 2000+ dollars were on the line. Also, like stated, catching it and hitting with it ALL 3 times is like o.o An enormous amount of skill combined with a ton of luck = win. I'm trying to think of a good comparison. I think a good one was when Jaedong did that proxy hatchery on Hwasin(?) on Destination(?) right by his base and then proceeded to own him with hidden expo + hidden tech. Not the greatest but i think it it gets to the point. EDIT: 36, not 34 damage. My bad.

I wouldn't call it insane; catching your own turnip isn't the hardest thing to do. The way I saw it, peach got lucky and did some solid but basic play to capitalize. That's my opinion, and it personally didn't rate with things like seeing Captain Jack play for the first time.

TL.net Bot TL.net. October 20 2009 16:03. Posts 1 PM Profile Quote cwjalex was just banned by EvilTeletubby. That account was created on 2009-07-19 05:27:04 and had 49 posts. Reason: I honestly don't know how you've made it this far; probably one of the more juvenile posters in recent memory whose completely full of himself - and that's saying a lot for this website. For someone so high and mighty, and so incredibly judgemental, saying things like: "go away whiny emo. you guys are like 5 year olds that stamp their feet because they don't get their way. Why not try being big boys and have a calm discussion with actual arguments." "Evidently most people on Team Liquid don't have a passion for music...which shows the lack of well roundedness around here. Music is one of the highest forms of artistic expression but people here would rather discuss jaedong's nickname...or talk endlessly about race imbalance." "wow, must take a lot of talent to be able to get shit-faced and use tons of drugs all the time. Have fun now because in 10-15 years your body is going to look like it has aged 30 yea Don't listen to this idiot people." "I've spoken to the dean of boston university as well as professor of sociology from harvard about this and they have found it to be interesting...and what credentials do you hold?" "you are right evan. it's just childish how he resorts to personal attacks when he has run out of ideas. This kid is probably like 17 and takes this game way too seriously" "wow fanatacist and probe, u guys are definitely in love...following me to post back to back...it's really adorable." "wow, must be nice to have some fan-boy finish your arguments. Way to be real mature and start name calling. Grow up. I'm sorry that you're toss isn't good enough to beat zerg. All I was calling for was for some moderation and that ZvP wasn't AS IMBALANCED as people thought. I didn't say it was even or that P has an advantage. Don't be so disgruntled because you suck PvZ." "stop getting mad little girl and argue with your ideas and not your emotion." Does not exactly lend you a lot of credibility. In summation, get the fuck over yourself, and get away Last edit: 2009-10-20 16:04:56 from our website. Thank you. ahahha alex used to be one of the best in mass nice guy in person, at least

Main: Marth Active: on and off since 06 location: Southern Vermont I've been playing casually on and off for a couple years, always worked to get better, learned my shffling, wavedashing and whatnot but never had anyone very good to play against or travel to tournaments with (no scene in western mass/vt). Recently had an influx of competitive smashers at marlboro college, whoda thunk it, so I've been working on my game. Attended my first tourney, super mass brothers, a few weeks back. It was fun to get my ass handed to me. Think I saw boxman there, though I don't think we played.

You might want to short hop a little more though. Someone correct me if this is wrong but i think shiek can regrab marth after a d-throw at low percents into some f-tilts.

here's my advice, zoler: sheik v marth is all about marth keeping sheik outside/getting her in the air and into combos. sheik is about getting inside grab/tilt/jab range and using her ridiculous speed and combo ability. the way you're approaching marth is slow, telegraphed high jumps into backairs with small hitboxes, or dash attacks. dash attacks are good, but your movement needs to disguise them better, and to have the dash attack effective you need to have threat of a running grab, either jump cancelled or dash-attack cancelled. short hops attacks, l-cancelled into jabs or grabs are good but both come with a great deal of risk, and you kind of need to get a feel for when to use them. essentially, you need to find the marth's rhythm, find the hole in his fair/ground game, and then punish him severely.

Yeah, tho remember I play on PAL version, Sheiks dthrow isn't "broken" here as we call it in Europe, hehe. It's much harder to do in PAL. Dthrow to ftilt isn't possible in PAL for example, tho you can techchase of course into grab or whatever.
