God I hate arkanoid and hitchhiker, I'm not indifferent to them like I am to other stupid maps like sin pioneer, etc. Arkanoid is just stupidity, I don't enjoy watching players destroy neutral buildings for the first 10 minutes of the game. I don't enjoy not knowing what's going on at all because players can only do little guerilla drops and the observer sucks at following what's going on. It's impossible to know who's ahead who's behind. There can't be any big scale battles. I thought the first peaks was the pinnacle of terrible maps but arkanoid surprises me everytime I look at it.

Why are there neutral buildings period? Since when do the mapmakers think they know enough to dictate the timing and build orders of games? Did they even have a purpose in mind when they decided to put 4 larvas for no reason at all at the nats of arkanoid? Neutral buildings limit build orders so much so that I'm pretty sure the mapmakers just want to make it difficult for progamers to play normally and force them to think of other ways to play, except that those other ways are way less entertaining to watch.
