So i looked at this map, and went - omg this map is terran paradise then i noticed that infact, no, those small routes are nicely balanced with those ramps everywhere making flanking possible.
So then i thought, well Zerg will struggle on this map because they can only really get 2 gas easily - then i noticed that there is a ramp to the backdoor expo.. and went oh..
Then i went to the idea that hey - protoss is overpowered now! Easy three base, cheese and the like but then i thought, well the cheese will take a bit of time - and that backdoor expo is like kinda useless minwise anyway. And well carriers actually don't have that many cliffs to abuse
So then i just gave up - this map reminds me of peaks - ie you cannot predict the balance to it..
i really like this map - well done! hopefully this will get used somewhere.. itd be a real shame for this no unnoticed, as L2W noted - this map beats many proleague maps (cough cough baek cough cough katrina cough cough)

hmm i like it alot but the two cliffs you have to walk through to get to the other base seems kind of short to me, extend it a little or something? yeah the minerals also acting as a wall isnt so good, maybe just add a normal dirt wall or whatever it is

I like how many ramps there are. While terrain is clearly important on this map it allows ease of movement throughout. I think it will create a very fluid and mobile game, if somewhat hellish for TvP.

I'd like to play some games on this map, looks very nice. Not too complicated. Just might have to make sure the backdoor expo doesn't cause pathing problems.

Make something like this for 4 players. I'm not a fan of 2 player maps.

The battles for corner expos seem like they would be awesome

oh and the 8 base back expo is bugged, the bottom min patch is unminable.

really cool map, though i think the safe 'back' expos should be changed so the mins are in a less vulnerable position, but the expo isnt.

This is a really good map. I played like 5 games on it (PvZ, PvT, PvP). However, the balance with ZvT and ZvP are questionable. P can sweep 3 gas fairly easily, while Z can only do the same. Same for T. 3 gas at the beginning would be horrible for a zerg.

Have you tried rushing hive ZvT? Maybe you fuck his back expo min line with swarm + lurkers. Same with his natural.

I really, really lke this. I wonder if we could make some interesting builds by mining only the gas at the backdoor (so 2 mineral lines and 3 gases running)

Am I the only one who thinks that expanding to the min only at 12 and sunkening over to the backdoor mins in ZvT would be extremely sexy?

thats one of the reasons Loki2 is imbalanced, but on the one hand this map is much more open than Loki, giving Z lots of options to flank, adn on the other hand you have to ask yourself if p/t can afford the amount of money for a 3. nexus/cc AND lots of defence around it. The backdoorexpansion is really a bitch to defend and Z beeing the most mobile race allways will be able to harrass this expansion a lot...Also you get only 5 mineralpatches, making it even more unattractive to expand there.
