Although I'm always light hearted on here this blog is not meant to be a joke :[
For the past week I've been seeing the numbers 444 at an alarming frequency. If you're unsure what this is, in Asian languages the word for "Death" sounds very similar to the word for "4". Three Fours, in repetition, refers to "death".
Now, I'm usually not that superstitious. I play poker professionally and have to absolve myself from being affected by any unusual patterns in probability and variance, and of course any superstitions, including the concept of luck. I think I do a pretty good job at this normally.
However I just see "444" way too much. I'd glance at my clock, 4:44. I'll see a stack size or a bet size amount in poker, $444. This has been happening a LOT for the past 1-2 weeks, and has been happening TOO much to just be a common pattern in chance/coincidence. I mean, of course statistically it could happen but it's very rare at this frequency, I'd estimate. To test that this isn't just a psychological issue, I told myself I'd give another arbitrary repetitive number, i.e. 333, added value and keep a look out for that. I've only noticed that maybe once in the past week, while I see 444 multiple times on average per day.
I'm going overseas for 5 months in a week, so I'm afraid maybe this is a sign that I'm going to die soon? :[.
It's commonly known that this happens to people all the time. You start to notice something and convince yourself that it can't be coincidence... but don't worry there are no paranormal activities going on here :p
The brooding and paranoia that may come with this may affect your mood and health. If you don't let it get to you, merely seeing the number really shouldn't impart any misfortune on you. Have a safe sojourn overseas.
Ironically, in asian languages, 666 is good. Suggests live going along smoothly, from what I've been told/interpret. 999 means long life. 999 > 444 mathematically, and superstitiously. 999 999 999. 9 9s with the 999. You like that?
Dude I see 4:44 on the clock like almost everyday for the past 6-7 years, and I'm still around, don't worry you will be alright. Seriously it's like I'm programmed to look at the clock at exactly those 4 digits.

if you are seeing $444 bet sizes in poker all the time you should really brighten up :D And if you really think you are gonna die you can at least go out like a true star.
Anyway you won't die.
Actually 2 people posted in this thread at 14:44, you might die =\
It can't be that bad, this happened to me for a while - like for example I realized both my credit cards have 666 in them. Gotta be saying something about me. But hey, I'm still not the devil... I think.
Obviously the balance in your plane of existence is out of place, you did not happend to see this shitty movie? http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0481369/ he had the same problem xD

that happened to me with the number 19 one summer. then i read all the dark tower series and...wtf. THAT freaked me out.
but write them down every time you see them from now on. It's probably not as many times as you think. I also believe there are no coincidences, we attract things to ourselves. dunno how. as long as you keep worrying about this then you'll keep seeing 444

I had the same thing, since my last post was a joke just to mess with my siggy...
I remember one time I would look at the clock and it would be all 1's
1:11 or 11:11
I'd wake up from a dead sleep and be like "Ugh, what time is it" and look over and it'd say 1:11am. I got so paranoid about it I changed to 24 hour format so I had 50% less chance to see it. O-O
if it's gonna be flight 444, take another flight and warn all the passengers. Afterwords explain for 4 days that you aren't a terrorist and didn't sabotage the plane or anything. Then you take notice that people on the plane start mysteriously dying in odd circumstances..
Like people said, you've probably just gotten yourself into a mindset where you notice those numbers whenever you come across them. It doesn't really seem like something you should be worrying about.

I've used my cellphone as my alarm clock to get me up in the morning since the past 5 or so years. Since I bought my new cellphone (about 7 days ago), I've been waking always before the alarm goes off. I put the alarm to 7:30 am and I woke up at 7:29 two times and 7:20-7:28 the other days... I never got to hear how the alarm sounds like... I'm beginning to think this cellphone is trouble too lol.
