I was actually thinking the same thing Yes, Well, the design pattern used in the Control Edition of the Goliathus, allows you to have more control over the movements of the mice. The friction when you move your mouse, is smooth as fuck, but still controllable. The Speed edition, however, is smooth and is for the people who play with very low speed (So the mice moves faster and smoother in the mousepad). I don't know about other brands and stuff, but this is the first mousepad of brand I've ever bought, and I can't complain. It's super smooth, it can be stored in like anything and it won't lose it's shape, and goes super Awesome with my Copperhead. .

The Speed Edition, which is nice and smooth, has a very fine-textured weave that is always in contact with a large area of your mouse feet. The Control Edition, which is pitted, naturally doesn’t touch as much of your mouse feet. The end result? The Speed Edition results in more friction on your mouse, and contrary to its name, slower mouse movement. The Control Edition, meanwhile, touches your mouse less, and so your mouse moves faster. src = http://wire.ggl.com/news/review-razer-goliathus-mouse-mat/ i want to buy that mouse pad, but cant decide control vs speed i dont usually move my mouse a lot, cause i play with mid-high sensitivity which one would be better for starcraft? http://www.razerzone.com/gaming-mousing-surfaces/razer-goliathus-control-edition/ http://www.razerzone.com/gaming-mousing-surfaces/razer-goliathus-speed-edition/ what do you guys think about control vs speed version?
