I was pretty sure I was going to vote for Mccain but then he chose Palin and I'm voting for Obama now. Even though Palin seems like a pick that's gonna refresh the White House she was just chosen to pander to the same old same old Republican party base. It just shows poor judgment on Mccain's part if the most qualified woman Republican he could find was someone who he had met for 15 minutes and whose main claim to fame is selling a plane on ebay (creative but my grandma could have done that). There are a lot more competent Republican women out there, ex Olympia Snowe. But she's pro choice and that would alienate the same old same old Republican base. Can anyone honestly imagine Palin going on diplomatic visits or even assuming the presidency if Mccain died? Imagine her talking to Vladimir Putin...I know they are into hockey in Russia but I honestly can't imagine him being impressed with someone who can just talk about how much of a hockey mom she is.

If McCain wins in 2008, I will be very impressed. Not happy, but impressed. He has all the cards stacked against him, yet he still has managed to keep this Presidential race close. If he loses, he will be too gracious to say so, but Palin is probably a major reason why he lost. If he wins, I might be moving to Canada.
