Yesterday I heard the news that my friend Cosmin Dumitru has been in the hospital with an aneurysm. The following night I heard that the doctors had to induce him into a coma so that they could control it better than if he was to go into one himself. Later his father said that Cosmin had a 50% of surviving and wanted people to pray.
I believe he went to the hospital at around 5pm sunday, April 11th, and the doctors performed brain surgery for 10 hours straight without much success.
The Aneurysm is literally eating away his brain tissues each second it isn't stopped, I'm not sure if the doctors stopped it.
This morning i went to school, it was rumored that he had a 30% chance of surviving, then around noon it was rumored that he only had a 5% chance of surviving. We even got a text saying that his brain stopped functioning and he is going fully on life support. So i'm not sure about the chances of him coming back anymore. It was also rumored that the doctors were planning to pull the plugs on him tomorrow morning at around 6am or something.
I wouldn't say my relationship with him is super close or anything like that, but we had a lot of fun together in classes we had so many inside jokes about pimp slapping hoes and giving each other pimp slaps while going down the hallways. It really saddens me to know that he is suffering from this. We don't hang out much in high school cuz my parents dont let me and he has another group of folks he hangs with too. But we made a promise to chill while in college. which is coming up for us this september after we both graduate from high school this semester.
But god damn i wish that he can manage to get through this somehow, he is a tough guy.
I feel really bad for his family, he is their only child that managed to be in critical condition right before graduation from high school. I also feel bad for his girlfriend. I have to admit it, but i shed a few tears for him i'm a sensative bitch, i guess.. + Show Spoiler +

Hope he makes it out ok. Life is too short to be even shorter.

It always sucks when things no one can control happen to people. My condolences to you and the family and I hope he gets better. People are tough bastards, don't give up hope.

I wish the best for your friend

There will always be hope, dont give up!!!

Have faith that he will make it. Also, you shouldn't give a fuck if people see you cry. Because, a part of living a full life is expressing and feeling emotion. Whether these emotions be good or bad. Without the lows, there would be no highs.

This is sad. I hope he pulls through. :/

Shedding tears for a friend doesn't make you a bitch, coach. Hope everything goes well for him and he pulls through

Sorry to hear that. What was your friend doing that made him get an aneurysm?

I wish him all the luck, and I want you YPang to not give up hope.
A known skater got a staph infection, and was given 1% chance to survive. Yet he managed to pull through and live to see brighter days.
Support your friend, as much as you can. And don't give up hope!

Doctors gonna pull the plugs on him as soon as his grandparents visit. T_T

If his brain has stopped functioning, then wouldn't it be better if he didn't make it through? Personally, I would prefer to just let him go and remember all the happy memories rather than suffer by seeing him in a vegetative state. Anyways, even though you two weren't as close as brothers, he still occupied a place in your life, and losing someone like that should be tough. My condolences to you and his family.

This happened to one of my friends when I was in high school. Literally one day he's just fine and dandy and the next day he's in the hospital fighting for his life. He did survive, but it did some major damage to his brain. He went from being a really handsome guy with a girl and good grades to being skinny, feeble, and twitchy with a droopy face, and barely able to walk with a cane.
He was in school very briefly before being transferred out to some other school somewhere else and I never saw him again.
Such a shitty thing to have happen, because you never see it coming. And there's nothing you can do to prevent it.

Wow man. This is quite something because I heard about his condition from a friend (I live in Saint Louis too. Jarek Markley had it up on his facebook status) and then I read it here. Losing someone is never easy...

Sad story... I hope you're doing alright. It's nice at least that he passed away peacefully.
RIP

How did this start? Was it just random, no prior condition or anything? Very scary.

They then said that during the first day while he was at hospital he constantly came back to conscious and went unconscious again several times, but eventually stopped.
There was no prior warnings signs.
I felt really bad for his parents, his parents just bought him a brand new car for getting into the college he wanted and getting scholarships, but then suddenly that day his dad went to return it to the dealership.
When the happened the dad called the mom who was at the hospital telling her that he was returning the car, the mom said back to the dad that as soon as he returned the car cosmin's heartrate dropped like as if he knew what was happening
