Ports are all open in both cases, and I use to be able to make games when I'm at school but now I can't. I never had to mess with the internet before at all. I use portchecker and the ports are all good to go. are there any computer related settings that I could have changed unknowingly that is causing my issues???
Computer settings that won't allow hosting games?

Try going into windows firewall setting and disabling it then see if you can host. If you can then re enable the firewall and allow starcraft access through it. | ||
