So, I'm practicing for the SAT ; and i look for some full length tests to practice on;
aside from waiting ~10 seconds for each question (Time limit is like 15min) and the horrible graphics filtering ; with arguable credentials on the actual criterion of questions... i proceed with this "test"

Now, I'm pretty confident in my math skills; fairly undecided about reading comprehension and hopefully my 3 from English AP pulls me through the essay



WTF.
I missed a question ON THE MATH PORTION?
SAT math section is pretty easy to me; So while \wristing myself for missing a question... i click on it to see why.




Apprantly 1.25 =! 5/4

Anyways, the real point of this blog is, Do you guys know where to get some free full length SAT prep? This was the first link i got from google; and i shudder to think what will transpire and spawn assuming they will get even more derogatory than the current.

Collegeboard.com ...just plain lags for me; it just freezes up and and lags on SO MUCH of the site; Ok, I can't even sign in half the time, and one time ; Whoa it let me sign in and i got halfway done, then it stopped loading.
Problem: Can't Log into the site

Steps
1. Change from firefox -> IE
2. Wait patiently as the page lags out
3. ????
4. no profit

This wasn't the first time either, the other time i had to actually stay after school and spend 30 minutes registering on a schol computer in the library AND paying to print out the admission tickets.
SO here i am again frustrated to hell, when everyone else can sign up easy, im just stressing over something that's called "EZ SAT Registration"

I'm was just going to sign up at school again, OH BUT WAIT no after school activities this week because of hurricane ike , so i couldn't do that- and guess what? Today's the last day of registration

What is the speed of the shot when he releases it?

How high above the ground does it go?

How much time does he have to get out of its way before it returns to the height of the top of his head, a distance 1.82 m above the ground?

It's not really a homework problem; she just posted it on the board and said try it at home , see if you can solve it ; and i wanna be the cool kid that knows the answer

Of course, I'm not blindly giving you this question without working on it, however i probably messed everything up :D

I don't expect anyone to do it but... if you could point me in the general direction that would be pretty awesome [: .

So far we've just been doing physics I review so we're starting kinematics, plus the hurricane set us back a week( no school) so that would explain the lack of movement in the class? D:

Anyways in all seriousness i present a dilemma !
for AGES now, i have been per fluxed with not being able to grasp the word to correctly amplify and portray my feelings, due to massive SAT vocab prep. ( DAMN YOU!! )

So here's one ~ ~
I’m looking for a word which describes the following common situation: You see a problem (or disaster) looming on the horizon and headed towards you. You decide to take action to avoid that problem (or disaster), BUT…. the very action you take CAUSES the problem (disaster), whereas had you taken no action at all, the problem (disaster) would not have occurred.

I will give 2 examples: You are walking on a sidewalk on the north side, and you see someone in the distance approaching you also walking on the north side. You are not sure if you should step to the south side or not, and so you hesitate doing so until the last moment, just as the other person, using the same reasoning, also steps to the south side and you collide. If you had taken no action, you would not have collided.

I call this a “Gorby” for reasons I shall explain next. The former was the small scale example. The latter is the large scale example.

Mikhail Gorbachev becomes leader of the Soviet Union in 1985, looks around and says, “Oh my goodness, things are in terrible shape. I must take action to save the Soviet Union.” But the action he takes CAUSES the total destruction of the Soviet Union.

Hence my use of the invented word “Gorby” to describe this type of situation on both a small and large scale.

So, is there a word in English or another language (the French are good at this) to describe this situation ?

I was looking for a word that sort of means that I’m feeling happy and exhausted at the same time. It’s like, I’ve had a great day but now I really need to go to bed. If that makes any sense.

tried torrenting, but that was what caused the missing install.exe

it needs to find sc location, then it looks for install.exe, without the install.exe , there can't be a "no-cd", such as the ones provided ,

any way to get install.exe?

Being as smart as I am, I have learned the secret to having, and keeping up, a perfect relationship. There are several ways that I have figured out:

1. To have a perfect long-term relationship, the man must be deaf and the woman must be blind. The woman will never see how her husband turns out and her husband will never have to hear her nag.

2. The guy must be foreign and the girl can only speak English. All the guy can know how to say in English are: "yes dear", "of course dear", and "I'll pay for that".

3. The guy is gay.

4. The guy is unusually rich. (Bill Gates rich) Who says money can't buy everything.

5. The internet told them they would be perfect for each other. (Note, attempt this at your own risk. You don't know if the 20 year old "girl" who looks a stunningly lot like Pamela Anderson is actually a 52 year old guy in his parents basement.)

6. If you look at their interests and compatibility. They should not match up at all. The "perfect" relationships will never work out and the ones that are doomed from the start last forever. <-- yes, the world is messed up.
